In-depth on Nakago

Poor Nakago had a very tragic past. (Seriously, I felt really sorry for him at the end...) See, Nakago was the only sieryuu seishi alive at the end (with the exception of Amiboshi, but he wasn't himself anymore, so it didn't really count.) As for the Suzaku seishi, the only ones alive at the end were Tamahome, Chichiri, and Tasuki. The Suzaku seishi's powers had been sealed with one of Yui's wishes. Then, Yui realized that Nakago had manipulated her into thinking that she had been raped when in fact she hadn't, so she made her last wish to have Suzaku seishi get their power back. Then, Miaka makes a wish to seal Seiryuu's powers. At that time, Tamahome and Nakago had been fighting. So, when Nakago's power was sealed, Tamahome's fist went through Nakago's chest (due to all the powers of the rest of the seishi being given to him...) As Nakago's dying, Tamahome can see into Nakago's thoughts. At first, he sees a small cute little boy holding his mother's hand. They're being rejected and teased and stuff by the other people. Nakago asks him mother, "Why do they hate us so much?" or something like that. Nakago had grown up in some weird tribe that everyone else hated. It was pretty sad. Then, we see Nakago some time later and soldiers are invading his home. Nakago's mother tells him to run, as she is being raped by the soldiers. Cute little Nakago is really scared. Then, he lets a chi-blast that kills all five of the soldiers and his mother. Some other soldiers take him to the emporer.

"He's too young to use his powers correctly," says the emporer. Meanwhile, he thinks Nakago looks beautiful, like a little girl. Um... I don't think I need to go into detail about what the emporer did to Nakago over the next few years...

Anyways, poor Nakago. He sees that Tamahome is seeing his past and tells him it's not polite to read other people's mind. Tamahome says it wasn't a fair fight. Nakago smiles, (I think) and said Tamahome was the stonger one. It was a fair fight. He sees Soi and his mother waiting for him at the other side...
