The Story.

This basically summarizes what happened to Amiboshi and Suboshi in FY. You can bet there's gonna be SPOILERS. Lots of it. Be warned!

Suboshi and Amiboshi's parents died when they were really little, in a civil war. They pretty much fended for themselves. (Actually, Amiboshi was the one who took care of both of them. And that's why he seriously disliked war after that.) They were both Seiryuu seishi, which meant they were on Nakago's side. Nakago first sent Amiboshi to impersonate the seventh Suzaku seishi, Chiriko, which Miaka had not found yet. He encountered them at night, when Miaka was attacked by bats. (Which were sent by him in the first place.) Well, Hotohori's sword isn't really much use against a giant swarm of bats, and same with Nuriko's strength. Tasuki fried some, but there were way too many. Then, they hear this flute music. The bats go insane and crash their heads into trees. The Kotou assissin's skull like, cracked open and he died. Amiboshi introduces himself as Chiriko and the Suzaku seishi see his character on his feet.

Amiboshi got acquainted nicely with the rest of the Suzaku seishi. He played music to put Tamahome's sister, he played music to help Hotohori calm his nerves, and he played music to help Chichiri, Tasuki and Miaka when Nakago was about to kill them off. Then, after Miaka got Tamahome back from Yui, they were ready to begin the summoning ceremony. Even though Amiboshi had grown to like the Suzaku seishi, he made his move anyways. There, he started playing a high-pitched, fast tune that are caused the others agony. However, just then, another sharp tune was played (by the real Chiriko) and messed up Amiboshi's tune. Everyone was furious, and Tamahome started beating him up. He got one kick before Amiboshi started running like hell. He jumped nimbly from rooftop to rooftop before he made it to the riverside. Quickly, he told the man that he needed to get across, but the man said that the river was too flooded or something. Looking back, Amiboshi saw Tamahome and the rest catching up to him. He then slipped or something and fell into the river. Miaka lunged for him and grabbed onto the flute that he was holding. Amiboshi was shocked. He realized what good people the Suzaku were, and maybe out of suprise, out of the fact that he was on the Seiryuu side, out of whatever, he let go and fell into the river with a peaceful expression on his face.

Back at Kotou, Suboshi felt Amiboshi's chi disappear. He grieves for days. Yui is the only person that goes to confort him and says something like it's okay to cry if you lost someone important or something like that. Nakago tells Suboshi that he should revenge his brother, and hints an idea. Suboshi is ready for revenge...

Tamahome and Miaka went back to Tamahome's house for a visit. When Tamahome walks in, he finds his family all dead. Tamahome is sooooooooooooooooooooooo sad. Miaka and Nuriko hear a familiar flute tune. It's Suboshi, not Amiboshi. He says that he killed Tamahome's family in revenge of his brother's death. (That was sort of stupid, but oh well.) Miaka cries that it was an accident. Tamahome walks out and sees Suboshi. His character glows and Suboshi takes aim for him with the ryuuseisui things. (Bad mistake.) Tamahome deflects the blows and then catches the weapons. He then starts beating up Suboshi. (His powers were enhanced because of the power-up from Taiitsu-sun.) Just when he was about to deliver the final death blow, lightening hits them and a figure takes Suboshi, while muttering that he tried it before he was capable. It's Soi. She takes off with Suboshi.

Anyways, Suboshi falls in love with Yui, and then we skip to a while later. Miaka is about to be attacked by a wildcat. She sees Suboshi. He pulls out a knife. Miaka is really freaked out, but then Suboshi throws the knife behind Miaka and kills the wildcat. It's Amiboshi. Turns out that he didn't die when he fell into the river, but was actually found by an old couple down the river who lost their old son and adopted Amiboshi as their new son. They gave him a medicine to erase all his memories, and named his Kaika. Kaika then takes Miaka back to his house where Kaika's parents decide that she is perfect for being Kaika's wife. Miaka gets sad when she thinks about Tamahome, and Kaika takes her for a walk. Kaika is beginning to remember that he is Amiboshi. He tells her how he didn't die when he let go of the flute and stuff. Unknowing to them, Kaika's mother is listening and doesn't want Kaika to leave them. So, she prepares Miaka some soup and tells her to drink it. Miaka, of course, does, and then falls uncounscious. Kaika's mother had tried to erase her memory by making her drink the same thing that Amiboshi drank, but she accidentally put in an overdose which could result in Miaka's death.

Amiboshi tries to save her. He climbs into bed next to her and begins giving some of his chi to make her better. Suboshi feels the release of his brother's chi, and Nakago does too. He immediately dispatches men to dispose of Miaka. Meanwhile, Miaka is about to drink a medicine that would make her forget everything. She sees Tamahome's reflection in the bowl and realizes that she needs to go to him at once. Amiboshi tells her that he will find Tamahome. She runs after him.

Tamahome, on the other hand, is severely being beaten up by Tomo, who's piercing him with his feathers. Amiboshi and Miaka rush to the scene. Tamahome cracks Tomo's neck, and rushes to embrace Miaka. Amiboshi is ashamed of what he did before, but Tamahome laughs and says that he's one of them. BUT... Tomo materializes from behind and sends pierces Tamahome in the back, then sends him falling down a cliff. AND THEN, sends Miaka into an illusion.

Miaka stays in the illusion for awhile, but then escapes. Amiboshi protects her from Tomo's levitating rocks and stuff. He thinks to himself that he would have much liked to be born a Suzaku seishi. Tomo clones himself and form a circle around him while spearing him with the feathers. Amiboshi can't find out which one is the real Tomo, so he can't do anything. BUT THEN....

A flying ryuuseisui or whatever it's called comes flying through Tomo. It kills him. Suboshi is REALLY PISSED at Tomo for trying to hurt his brother. Amiboshi apogizes for not going back to him, and then offers him that forgetfulness potion drink so that they could be together forever. Suboshi takes a gulp, then french-kisses his brother and passes the drink to him. He apologizes, saying that he's sorry but he loves Yui. Amiboshi blacks out.

Suboshi turns to confront Miaka. He blames her for Yui's problems and how she was brutalized but Miaka wasn't. However, Tamahome and Tasuki and the rest of them show up and Suboshi is forced to back off. He runs off while carrying Amiboshi, and returns him back to his parents, even though he knew that Amiboshi would never remember him.

Okay. Skip a few episodes later. Suboshi returned with Yui-chan to her world. He's still trying to chase down Tamahome. They encounter, and get into a fight. Suboshi orders his ryuuseisui to follow Tamahome, who's running like mad. He turns back and jumps over Suboshi. Suboshi is prepared to jump out of the way of his ball, which is still tailing Tamahome, but SOMEHOW, the ghosts of Tamahome's family hold him down and the ball goes through him. Yui's school uniform bow falls out of his pocket and he holds it and says he's sorry for failing her. He fades away back into the book...

Back at his house, Amiboshi/Kaika starts crying. His parents ask him what's wrong. Amiboshi says, "It feels like I've lost half of myself... No, it feels like half of myself has returned."
