She's much more intelligent than Miaka, more down-to-earth, realistic, and studious, not to mention better more popular at school, (and better at sports). At least, that's what I heard.) But, Yui never has as much luck as Miaka. See, while Miaka got to be Suzaku no Miko, Yui got stuck with being Seiryuu no Miko, (not that that's a really bad thing, but they're just not as friendly and nice as the Suzaku people.) Anyways, back to the subject. And while Miaka and Tamahome are in love, poor Yui is also in love with Tamahome. But, sadly, she knows that Tamahome will never love her because he is dedicated to Miaka. Now why is Yui so against Miaka when they're suppose to be the bestest best of friends? It's a spoiler for episode 13 or 14 or something like that, so I won't include it here. But it's here if u wanna read. Yui isn't a bad person. In fact, not at all. If you went through all that she went through, you would be feeling pretty bad too. Yui really did want to be Miaka's friend again, but with the influence of Nakago and stuff, she couldn't. And we all know how Nakago is. Later, (in OVA 2, which makes much more sense than OVA 1,) she really proves how good of a friend she is to Miaka and how much she supported her and Tamahome(Taka). Back
