If you like Misia & Utada Hikaru, you're going to love this album by
Double! I think that this is the best J-pop R&B album that I've heard
in a while and if given a chance, it would do great all over. Takako &
Sachiko's voices are smooth and flow well with the music. I cannot stress
how good this album is! A minor complaint I have is that some songs tend to
be a bit too long & becomes monotonous. Well, no matter what, you should
get this album if you're into great R&B songs. And when Double states:
"Who can do this like us? Nobody." in "Free Style," they are definitely
speaking the truth.
1. Intro ~ Crystal Clear--Nice and slow. I wish
this were an actual song.
2. Free Style--Great song! I love the beat. The song is a bit
repititous at the end when they keep on saying "Who can do this
like us..." Should've been 4 minutes instead of 5.
3. Little Things You Do--Medium paced song. Another good one.
Another one that should've ended earlier.
4. Make Me Happy (MORE MIX)--Mostly in English & their
pronounciations are pretty good. One of my favorites, although
a bit too long.
5. Desire (Cool Groove MIX)--Upbeat song that's great to
dance to.
6. Interlude (If My Sister's In Trouble ~ Joy)--
7. Shake (Original Version)--This is the song that
got me hooked on Double. Anybody remember that American R&B duo
Zhane in the early '90s? That's how Double sound like in this song.
They rap in English & sing beautifully. Definitely Super Sisters.
8. Sweet Time--It's one of my favorites from the album because
I'm a sucker for great harmonies. Double's voices are beautiful
in this one.
9. For Me (Live Style MIX)--A mellow one that I like.
Another long song.
10. BED--A single. A danceable song. Don't really like the chorus for
some reason. The rest of the song is good though.
11. Shake (ANOTHER SQUALL MIX)--Sounds evil, but I kinda
like it.
12. BED (DOUBLES)--I like this version better than the original,
although it's not as funky. Has 2 raps. The first one is cool
cause he sounds like a Jamaican guy rapping in Japanese. The
second one is pretty good too.
