MAXIMUM GROOVE review

I wanted to get this album as soon as I got their Maximum II cause there's
just something about MAX's music that makes me wanna dance, or at least
sing along to it. Well as it turns out, this album is far better than their
Maximum II one. There are many varieties of songs on this album including
dance, soft love songs, a rap/reggae one, r&b, and their usual Euro/techno
ones. In this album, MAX's voices have improved tremendously. Maybe it's
because they don't scream as much as their last album, they actually sing.
The MAX ladies also have solos in many of the songs. Wow!
If you have to get just one MAX album, get this one!
1. Only One--reminds me of "Easy Easy", but there's a loud guitar
riff. I like this.
2. Hikari no VEIL--Their first single. It has a Latin flavor
to it. I kind of like this song, but it's not one of my favorites.
3. I'm in love--A nice mellow r&b song. MAX sings well in this
song & they don't shout at all. A great song!
4. Getting Over--I liked this song ever since I heard it on the
radio so I'm glad they put this song on this album! It's a happy,
upbeat song.
5. Sunny Holiday--This song is cool. It has a dance/reggae beat
& MAX raps in some parts of the song. Their rapping sounds a bit
like Namie Amuro's.
6. Not Alone--A slow one. It's like "I'll Be with You" but I don't
like it as much cause it sounds like every other slow love song.
7. Active for the love--An average MAX song.
8. Private Crime--Les says this sounds like Michael Jackson's
"Smooth Criminal" song. I guess it does have that "criminal" feel to
it cause it's about a girl sneaking around with her best friend's
guy.
9. Reborn--I really like this song for some reason. It just seems
inspirational or something.
10. Person I need--This is another of my favorites. MAX's voices
are beautiful in this song. They show off their individual voices.
I especially like Lina & Nana's voices the best (first & second
voice). This song has a nice, slow beat.
11. Grace of My Heart--Their 3rd single. This is more like their
"Shinin' On shinin' love", "Love is Dreaming", "Give Me a Shake"
songs so I like it better than the 2 previous singles.
12. Ride on Time--Reminds me of that Spice Girl song where they go
"Na na na na...". Again with the Latin beat. I kind of like this.
13. Don't You Love Me--I heard this before (or something like it).
Techno-ish song, but it's ok.
14. Love Desire--Euro/techno song.
