Million Kisses review
Buy OS ver. at Yesasia's [US | Global] site
Listening to this CD, I've realized that Dorikamu has really changed
their style of music a lot in their more recent albums. Million
Kisses is more of a party album than any of the other albums that
I've heard from them. This album is heavily influenced by American music
from the '80s. They have lots of happy pop songs and even a heavy metal
one (if you can call it that). So, if you're feeling nostalgic for '80s
music, you should definitely pick this CD up.
1. STELLA OF DREAMS COME TRUE~Opening Theme~--
just an intro.
2. Kare wa Tomodachi--(He's a friend). A cute '80s type of
dance song.
3. Goodbye, Darlin'--a medium-paced song. Still reminds me
of the '80s. Pretty good.
4. Itoshi no HAPI DEIZU--(Beloved happy days). Another
cute '80s song. Reminds me of their song "Fuyu Sanmai ni wa
Mada Tooi" from their Magic and 7th of July Sunny Day albums.
5. Kono Koi wa HAADO BOIRUDO--(This love is hard boiled).
Their "heavy metal" song. It's strange hearing this type of
music from them. I don't know if I like this.
6. Kusuriyubi no Kesshin--(Ringfinger Determination)
Kinda disco-ish. Another good one
7. Anata ni SARADA--(A salad for you). One of the cutest (I
have to stop using that word) dorikamu songs. It's a playful,
beatnik type of song and Miwa's voice sounds like a little girl.
A song about salad? Strange, but I like this a lot (except for
the people at the end).
8. Mirai Yosouzu--(Future expectation map). a slow average song.
9. Wasurenaide--(Don't forget). Another '80s song. Kinda darker
than the others, though. Sounds kinda reggae-ish. Miwa's voice
kinda drags.
10. Shigatsu no Ame--(April Rain). A soft, soothing song. Sounds
like island music. Nice to relax to when it's raining.
11. Eyes to me--Released as a single. This song is the main reason
why I got this album. It reminds me of a particular cute (not
again) Latin-type song in the '80s. I was kinda annoyed
cause towards the ending there's a lot of people talking and
singing. It ruined the song for me. I hate when they do this with
the album versions of the singles..."Romance", "Haretara Ii ne",
"Anata ni Salad" (although this is not a single), etc. For this
reason, I think I should get their singles collection.
12. Ginga e no Fune--(A boat for the milkyway). Kind
of weird because it has many different melodies, but it works.
Also on their 7th of July Sunny day album.
Rating 9.5 out of 10!!!
