The site is managed together by Laura and Sue. Contributions can be sent to either or both of us, or posted on the AFWC ML. Please tell us what you want done with it, what it is about and so on, or such mails will be ignored or rejected. We can be contacted by our e-mail addresses on the main page, or by ICQ. Images have been edited by Laura using Paintshop Pro and Adobe Photoshop 5.0, all © of the AFWC and created with care, concern, frustration and degrees of obsession as yet unknown to man when it doesn't turn out right. The upcoming Arisugawa Juri shrine in our Anime Psychology section is being created painstakingly by Laura as well, with other shrines being planned or dreamed about. Besides that, she handles most of the petitioning to authors for their Essays.

Sue handles broken links, little spelling errors or mistakes on the page, does overall edits of the AFWC and tinkers around with Laura. All broken links or broken pics should be referred to her, and general comments about the appearance of the site as well, since Laura tends to be possessive about her work.

Flames will be ignored, so to all you immature brats out there who have flamed countless good website creators, go and find some other way to get attention. We aren't interested in fulfilling your sick little perversions in tearing down our work. Neither are we going to entertain idiots who claim that we have stolen or plagiarised their page or who plagiarise ours. The AFWC is totally original, and totally created by hand and Notepad by us. We neither copy nor plagiarise, and essays or fanfiction are linked to or posted with the author's full consent. As for the shrines or other articles, they are merely our opinions and flames on those will not be entertained either. Civilised disagreements are allowed and encouraged, since we've never claimed to be right, in a polite manner. We are adults here, people, so let us act like adults.

Our AFWC Policies

Our policy for the AFWC (and in our daily lives) is encapsulated by the acronym KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). Neither of us have the time to learn or implement Javascript into our pages, so HTML 4.0 is our only medium in creating the AFWC. Our aim here is to make it easy to navigate, like the link back to main at the bottom of our pages, and the division of the AFWC into sections. The AFWC is not solely about the written word, either... we are trying to include more pictures in our pages.

We are continually revising our pages, adding little things here and little things there that will make the AFWC prettier and easier to navigate. Updates can be sporadic, especially next year when both of us have major examinations to pass, but we'll try to make it as often as possible.

AFWC: A History The Anime Fanfic Writer's Centre was created originally by Sue Mei, otherwise known as Angelmiko in 1997-1998. Its mission then was to improve the quality of anime fanfiction on the 'Net, particularly that of Sailormoon, and to encourage budding authors to write. It contained pages and sections called Little Things, Basic Elements and Author's Advice. The New AFWC Due to the pressures of real life, the site stagnated for months until 19th August 1999 when Laura Christian aka Arisugawa Juri and Sue Mei reopened and completely redesigned the site. We are now in the process of asking more writers to add their piece to the Advice section (formerly Author's Advice) and the original goal has been remodified into making the AWFC a shrine to anime fanfiction throughout the Web.

Our Brainchild The AFWC website is a product of our love for anime, and for our equally strong love for fanfiction. Sue and Laura find it fascinating... Fanfiction represents all the different views of anime from people all around the world. This is our tribute to it. We hope that you enjoy your visit here, regardless of whether you are a fanfic writer or not.
