Well...I'm back. Where have I been? In a very dark, scary place called school. I was supposed to start this review about an hour ago but I was busy fiddling around with the layout to make it look halfway decent. (If only this wasn't a one-page document. Then I could have more fun.) Anyway, this is the first March review of the month, and the victim...er..page in question is what we like to call Golden Dream.
Splash: What's this? This looks like a "We've moved." Okay, so I moved. The url's still the same. ¬¬;; Well, just from the splash page this looks very promising. No WYSIWYG editors for me! (One of the reasons why I needed a break. You drove me insane, people!) So I do a clicky on Hikaru and Umi. Index: Oooooooooooooooooooooou. Prettiness. Nicely set up, good quality image...much kudos. So what have we got here? Info, Multimedia, Fan Stuffies, Miscellaneous, and Site Stuffies. The typical general MKR page. But let's hope this is a *good* typical and not Hikaru's birthday is August 8th crap. Info: *eyes go all starry* This actually looks INTERESTING. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The general introductions to the Manga, Anime, and OAV are well-written and give enough information without spoilers. On the Series Flowchart 1 there's a horizontal scrollbar. Might want to try and find a way to get rid of it. Also, there's a vertical scrollbar too that causes a lot of blank space. I know that one wasn't intended because there are the Javascript scrollers. I think the Knights escape on a GRYFFIN, not a Gryffindor. Someone's been reading Harry Potter too much. :P Also, the link to the continuation of the story isn't working. Aaaaah! The link to Series 2 also doesn't work. (Perhaps just say "Not Working!" or leave the link blank) And, unfortunately, nothing else works either. Keep working, this looks interesting! Multi: *click.* *doesn't work.* *click.* *doesn't work again.* *click a third time* Whersa pagey? ;_; Fan: Also doesn't work. Misc: *also* Doesn't work. Site: This too! This is where I figured it was a Netscape thing so I re-opened the window in MIE. So, on with the review. Info: Okay, here we go. I can read the continuation of Series 1 now. ^^;; I was a little confused about the Shrine of the Wind thing because I'm used to the anime version. But I'm okay now. ^^;; Everything looks good though I can see a couple of spelling errors Fuu would blow a gasket over. :P Protagonists: Eye candy. *_* This has nothing to do with the series, but am I the only one who finds it funny Fuu's sister is named Kuu? I can imagine their mother saying, "Kuu! Fuu! You tooo!" Maybe not. o_O A few spelling errors here or there which I won't comment on. Clef's actually 745 years old, not 710. Antagonists: More spelling errors. Bad, very bad. There's one thing I can't figure out. How is it that if Nova only appears in the anime, why is there a manga illustration of her? Seiyuu: Just your basic seiyuu stuff. Might be interesting if you're into that. Shinohara Emi also did the voice of Sailor Jupiter, which ties into her being in the Peach Hips group. (It was a group made up of the seiyuu of the 5 inners) I also think it's really funny the mashin all have different voices considering they all sound the same. ^^;; Multimedia: Image gallery, mp3s, lyrics, wallpaper! All the stuff I like! *_* Gallery: Ugh, I hate that data transfer thing too. One of my pages gets maybe 3 hits a day and it still says I overdid it. ¬¬ The images are gorgeous. The Fuu, Other, & OAV back links go to the wrong page. Whoops! Mp3's: You want 'em? Go get 'em. Wallpaper: Agh, Holidays is spelled wrong on the Hikaru wallpaper! O_O Fan: Nothing to look at yet.. Miscellaneous: Just your basic stuff. Oh...YOU'RE the one who sent us the Legend award! Yay! Thank you! ;_; (I'm a little slow when it comes to these things. :P) Incidentally, Hikaru thought you were male, not me. Hikaru seems to think everyone's male. :P Site: Just your basic stuff. LONG link list. I love how we're always under Miscellaneous Links. Okay, I guess I'm done. *checks clock* That took me....two hours. Not bad. Anyway, all the info's correct, everything looks goregeous. Just a few broken links, one small information error and a bit of a Netscape problem reduces the score. So a 9 out of 10. (Would have gotten a 10 if not for those problems, honestly.) Congratulations, that's probably the highest score I've given since 2000. |
