Written in a moment of pure sappy creativity, this is a short poem
told from Urawa's perspective. If he hadn't left, would he have told
Ami how he felt? What would she have said?
As always, (insert disclaimer here) I don't own Sailormoon. THAT creativity
is copyright Takeuchi Naoko, Toei, Kodansha Comics, etc. Please don't sue me:
I'm a poor, soon-to-be college student (woohoo! ^.~).
-------------------------------------------------
What if I told you I loved you?
Wouldn't you laugh?
Wouldn't you turn away, and pretend you'd never heard
those three painful words?
I love you so much it hurts;
I watched you once as you read a book,
And wished for nothing more than to reach over and
brush that one stray lock of hair off your face,
Just because it meant I could touch you.
You look at me and smile.
I know I'm blushing;
I always do.
When did I first realize I loved you?
I don't even know.
Maybe it was when your eraser hit my arm, and you told
me not to worry so much;
You smiled at me then, too.
Or maybe it was when you sat with me in the park,
And told me I had to create the future for myself;
Will you be in that future with me?
No. I think I loved you before I even knew you.
Before I met you, there was always this one part of me
that felt empty;
But the first day I saw you, I didn't notice it anymore:
The pain was gone.
It was as if my heart was waiting for you;
Now it's complete.
Maybe someday I'll tell you how I feel.
Maybe someday you'll tell me you feel the same.
Maybe someday I can make you happy....
Until then, I can only wonder:
What if I told you I loved you?
Could you love me, too?

Written in a moment of pure sappiness, I tell you. ^.~
I haven't written in a while; I figured it was time. I don't
even write poems that often! What's going on? Well, regardless,
I hope you liked it. Let me know what you think: comments, criticism, suggestions;
send them on over to EmeraldDi@aol.com. I crave the feedback!
