Past Meetings
Chapter Two

Meanwhile, in the Earth, one of the four generals was trying to
convince his friends that he wasn't feeling very well to go to that
party. His plans weren't working at all, since Jedi and Neflyte knew
that that wasn't the real reason for not wanting to come.

"Come on," said Jadeite, "You will have fun. Every once in a while
you need to get out of here". The orange haired general nodded, and
answered: "I know that, but I can't leave know. I've just discovered
something really important, and I need..." He was abruptly
interrupted by Neflyte, who said: "Don't try to fool us again with that.
Last time you were too busy learning how to improve your powers,
and remember when you couldn't come with us because you wanted
to explore the Mercurian genetics? Excuse me partner, but that's no
important reason for staying like a bookworm here in the library".

Jadeite looked at him, and added: "Besides, the party is held in the
Moon, and we can't miss it. We are Endymion's Generals after all".
Zoisite sighed, and accepted his defeat. "Ok," he said. "You win. I
will go. But, and listen to this, this is the last time, do you hear me?"
His companions grinned, and said, "As you say, my Commander,"
while making a mock military pose.

Zoisite couldn't keep himself from laughing, and he was soon joined
by the two others voices. When they finished, Neflyte added:
"Remember, the party is tomorrow, in the main Hall, at the Moon
palace. Be there at nine or ten o'clock, we will be expecting you,"
and then, he and his blond friend vanished in the air.

Zoisite sighed, and mumbling something about parties and friends,
continued reading.

Now, back to the Moon. Mercury entered her room, and discovered it
was filled with white roses. In the floor, in the window, even in her
bed. It looked like a florist shop. The only light was the one provided
by her night lamp, shining weakly in her drawer. This semi-darkness
made the flowers look like silver, and shone with their own light. Her
room was big, with the bed in the middle, a private bathroom, and a
huge window, with a windowsill big enough to allow two people in it.
It also had a painting of a Mercurian landscape. She was really
proud of it, since she herself had painted it.

Her eyes wondered around the room, and whispered: "Ren." She
walked a few steps, marveled by the beauty of the flowers. "It's
wonderful," she said aloud.

"Thank you," answered someone. Surprised, she looked to the
window, and there it was Ren, prince of Saturn. He had black hair,
and purple eyes, resembling a lot to Hotaru, princess of the same
planet. They weren't siblings though; they belonged to different
families.

She was taken aback, and tried to regain her composure, by talking
in a formal tone: "What are you doing in my room?"

The prince grinned, and said, jumping from the window: "I was
expecting you, my princess."

She couldn't manage to respond anything but: "Wha... what?"

Ren was now about two steps away from her, his eyes sparkling in
the darkness: "Princess of Mercury, today, when I saw you riding
that horse, your beauty captured me, and I haven't done anything
since then but think about you."

She was too surprised to move or speak, and just kept looking at
him. Ren saw his opportunity, and moved closer to her. Ami now
understood his intentions and walking away from him, said, with a
trembling tone: "Get out of my room," while she extended one hand
towards the door.

The prince of Saturn smiled devilishly, and whispered: "Make me."
Mercury felt a shiver ran through her spine, knowing that this man
was far stronger that she was. Looking around, she discovered with
panic that she had reached the wall, and had nowhere to escape.

Ren was now almost over her, and repeated: "Make me." Mercury
knew what was coming next, and closed her eyes. Tears started to
run through her closed eyelids, watering her cheeks. Ren didn't mind
them, and moved his mouth closer to hers. One of his hands
reached her shoulder, and she jumped in surprise to feel how hot it
was. The hand slowly started to caress her skin, making her shiver.
Mercury could feel now his breath in her lips, and tried to back
again, not being able to move anywhere else. She heard him whisper
again, his voice filled with something she couldn't (maybe didn't want
to) pinpoint: "If the rest of you is as beautiful as your face, I can't
wait to see it." Only millimeters separated now their mouths, and
Lady Mercury was preparing for the inevitable, when a knock in the
door interrupted the silence.

"Mercury," said a cheerful voice that she recognized as Jupiter's,
"Come on, open the door and tell us what you got."

Ren immediately stopped, and whispered to her, in her ear: "We
shall continue this the next time. Tell someone about this, and I'll kill
you," and disappeared through the window. Mercury fell to the floor,
her body being shaken by sobs. Another knock, and this time
Venus's voice could be heard: "Mercury, are you OK?" She couldn't
speak, and just remained in the floor, crying out her soul.
