Past Meetings
Chapter Twenty Two
by, Cony

Mercury heard as Zoisite screamed in pain, and stiffened in pain
herself. Why was this so heart breaking? It was as if she herself was
being tortured. Her whole body shook in sorrow, and looked at Ren,
who was looking at her as if he was looking at some toy that he was
about to obtain. "Please," she begged, "Please, leave him alone. I'll
surrender, just let him go."

"Why should I? Aren't you enjoying this? Isn't it wonderful to make
him suffer?"

"You are... you are a monster." Ren's eyes flickered evilly, and he
answered, while he grabbed her by her wrist and forced her to lay on
his body:

"Better get used to this, Mercury. When we marry, you'll see
something like this everyday."

Mercury tried to back away, but Ren's hold on her was too firm. "I
will never, do you hear me, never marry you." "I'm sure we are going
to be married soon, Princess, and by your own will."

"What do you mean?" asked Mercury, her blue eyes shining with
terror. How can he be so sure? He can't make me marry him, can
he?

"You'll understand soon, my darling," Ren answered. Mercury looked
over his shoulder, and saw as Zoisite was about to faint from the
pain his wounds were causing him. "I'll go with you with no
resistance, if you let him go," she said, trying to help Zoisite in any
possible way.

Ren seemed thoughtful for a moment, and answered: "Ok, but first
you'll have to let me make sure you won't run away." It seems he
has some mercy after all.

"How?"

"Like this," said Ren. At the same time, he put her hand on her
shoulder, pulled her towards him, and kissed her on the lips.
Surprised, Mercury tried to jerk away, but he was stronger. His
mouth was pressed firmly against hers, and she felt as he tried to
enter his tongue into her mouth. She fought as hard as she could,
but something was getting her weaker, until the only thing she could
do was lay still, and cry in silence. Her eyes were open, and she
saw as his eyes flickered red, and looked at her intently. Mercury
felt weak, and her mind was slow. A fog seemed to cover her eyes,
and every barrier she had left, crumbled to the ground...
