Chapter Twenty Three

Zoisite was too weak to hear what they were talking about, but he
saw as Mercury looked at him several times. However, nothing had
prepared him for what happened next. Ren had grabbed Mercury,
and was kissing her deeply. He saw as she fought, fiercely at first,
and then no resistance at all. He saw something strange, and
blinked a couple of times to clear his view. No, it wasn't an illusion, a
black fog was surrounding them. It crawled around them, and
wrapped Mercury up, until it disappeared, entering her. Only then,
they parted, Ren smiling victoriously. Mercury fell to the ground, with
her hands on her face. Almost immediately, her body started
glowing, and she seemed to grow. "What have you done to her, you
bastard?!?" yelled Zoisite.
"Only the necessary for her to be my wife. Arise now, Black
Mercury." The young girl did as told. She stood up, her hands
leaving her face, and lying again on Ren, looked at Zoisite. The Earth
General shivered, as he realized what had happened to Mercury.
Her eyes--her beautiful blue eyes that he loved to look at--had
changed from deep blue to a fiery black. They were ice cold, and
showed no emotions. There was something strange also about her
Sailor outfit, it appeared to be shorter, and tighter. Opening his eyes
wide, Zoisite realized that the costume hadn't become smaller, but
Mercury was bigger. Her chest was fuller now, her bosom tightening
against the cloth. She was taller, almost as tall as Zoisite was. Her
sailor fuku, which before the transformation reached her thighs, was
now at an indecent length. It was Ok if she was still, but if she
moved even a little, it showed everything. Ren smiled, and put an
arm around her shoulders. "I like her better this way, don't you
think?"
"What... what happened?"
"I filled her with Nega-energy. This is her bad side. Now, she herself
will kill you." Ren turned to Mercury who looked at him as if he was
everything to her, and said: "My love, I'll leave to you the pleasure to
kill this earthling."
"Thank you, My Lord," answered Mercury. Her voice had changed
too. It was deeper, sexier and cold, as cold as the ice she had
power over. However, Zoisite didn't had much time to think about
that, 'cause Mercury approached him, and standing by his side,
said: "You will die now, as my master commands." She moved one
of her hands, and produced an ice shard. It was clearly sharp, and
was shining with evil energy.
Zoisite was awed, but recovered, and said: "Mercury, please. This
isn't you. Fight it."
"Wha...what?" Mercury's eyes flickered strangely, and for a couple
of instants, looked as blue as they used to be.
But at the same time, Ren said: "Do not listen to him, Mercury.
Remember, you are my slave from now on." The princess eyes
turned black again, and stretched her hand over her head, making
the ice shard shine with sunlight. "Mercury, remember. We are
friends, you can't kill me," pleaded Zoisite.
The princesses eyes turned blue again, this time shining with
recognition. "Zo... Zoisite? What's going on?" Ren cursed, and
concentrating briefly, the evil web over Zoisite squeezed him more
and more. Zoisite screamed again, feeling as his vital energy was
being drained. Mercury looked at him blankly, as Ren talked to her
again: "My darling, don't listen to him. Kill him soon, so we may go
to Saturn."
Mercury nodded, and stretching her hand again, lowed it abruptly
over Zoisite. He wasn't thinking properly anymore, so he just closed
his eyes, waiting for the strike. Time passed, and he felt nothing. He
slowly opened his eyes, and saw that Mercury was slowly bringing
the ice-spike down, while looking at his arm. He turned his face a
bit, and saw that she was looking at the bandage she had made,
and that now was deep red. "You... you have this because of me,
isn't it?"
"Yes. Remember Mercury, remember you put your bow over it, you
healed my wound." Mercury stretched her hand, and barely touched
Zoisite's wound. He shivered, pain rippling through his body.
Then, words that he was dying to hear filled his ears: "Zoisite? What
am I doing?" Her eyes continued being blue this time, the ice shard
disappeared, and her body started to glow.
