Here is some of my favorite poetry and poetry that others have submitted. Read it for fun. Use it for inspiration. And if you have a poem you'd like me to put up here, please send it to me! I'd be more than happy to add it! Thanks! And enjoy!
Come in, I've been expecting you.
There's a knock on the door,
and love walks through;
It lights a fire,
And smiles a smile
As though Love were going to stay awhile.
And the fire breathes
And weaves its spell,
But then Love runs out of lies to tell.
For Love is restless,
Love's a flirt;
Love has places to go,
And people to hurt.
So here's the shovel to smother the flame;
Tomorrow you'll barely remember my name.
And I'll try to forget you, my dearest one,
As a prisoner tries to forget the Sun.
For Life holds no purpose,
Love holds no charms,
Since I beheld you,
In another's arms.
--Poem from the movie, 'Til There was You

Dream Girl
You're the stars, the sun, the sky,
You keep me warm inside.
When I look into your eyes, they remind me of the sky,
With a twinkle like a star in the sky.
You're the heat of passion when i think of your name,
You are the wind that whispers sweet and kind things into my ear.
You are the dream that i think of everyday,
When i look at you in the night,
You look back at me with your eyes so bright.
As you shine so bright alone in the night,
I wish we were together so we could both shine till the dawn of light.
If my wish doesn't come true,
I'll still have my dreams to think of you.

Undying Hope
I am the wind that whips through the trees.
I am the fire that dances with warmth,
And the water that flows to each sea.
I am the earth in which things grow.
I am the moon that shines through the night,
The stars that light up the sky,
And the sun that gives light in dark space.
I am the planets that make up our solar system.
I am part of time, death, and rebirth.
And most of all I am the light that gives hope when everything seems
hopeless.

ice blue eyes
burn like fire
flash with love
and with desire
a color as deep as the skies
were the burning ice blue eyes
another pair
deep dark brown
chocolate pools
where you can drown
don’t' gaze in for a great length
for they hold an unseen strength
like emerald stone
are the green
hiding power
unforeseen
filled with anger, they will flash
matching the loud thunder-clash
eyes that change
color shifts
move about
like snowy drifts
these eyes will never stay the same
nor can, or ever, will be tame
eyes that do not
come in pairs
giving one bone-
chilling stares
one colored like it’s out of place
merely put upon their face

a look
a laugh
a love
a life
sorrow
saddness
mourning
strife
one can cut you like a knife
the other
set you free

Rhetoric
Can one be loved and yet feel isolated?
Can one be in a crowd and ignored?
Is a hater always the one to be hated?
Does no one feel, in life, adored?
Can one read and never be an author?
Will no one's life be reformed of their mess?
Is it possible to care and yet never even bother?
Can anyone know true happiness?
Can one be respected without raising a hand?
Can one really live and yet never really be?
Will one see another and truly understand?
Why is it no one knows what it's like to be me?
