Chapter 7
Mars, Jupiter and Serenity were talking among each other in
the conference room. Apart from them, sitting on the balcony,
was Lady Mercury. She was sitting on the windowsill, with her
knees under her chin, her arms crossed in front of them. She
was looking nowhere, her eyes fixed on something only she
could see.
"Girls, this is bad," said Jupiter.
"Tell me about it. Why can't we just beat some sense into
her?" asked Mars while she slammed her fist on the table.
Serenity looked at her disapprovingly, and said: "Cause she's
our friend. Besides, she wouldn't change anyway."
Then the door opened, and Venus entered. She had a strange
smile on her face. Mercury didn't even flinch when she
entered. She was too deep in thought. Venus said hello to
everyone, but only three voices answered. Not caring about it,
she sat next to Serenity.
"So Venus, what's with the smile?" asked Mars.
"I think I've got a solution."
"To her problem?" asked Jupiter, leaning forward to listen
better.
"Yes, but keep quiet. Listen, I've talked to my mom, and she
gave me this wonderful idea."
"Your mother? Queen Aphrodite?"
"I suppose. I've only got one mom," joked Venus.
"Well, and what did she tell you?"
"We must make these two talk to each other. If Mercury tells
him about her past, he will understand."
"And that's it?"
"Love was never the problem."
"Hmm, that doesn't sound like you Venus, was it your mother
the one who said it?"
The blonde blushed, but recovered quickly. "That doesn't
matter."
"Girl, girls. Calm down. Your plan is good, but how do we
make them talk?"
"W must organize a party. We will invite him, and when they
meet, everything else is a piece of cake."
Mars gave her a
little-girl-you-don't-know-what-you-are-talking-about look, and
said, "Remember, Lord Zoisite can't come to the Moon."
"Leave that to me," answered Venus, a strange grin appearing
on her face...
He lay on his bed, his green eyes staring blankly at the
ceiling. His lips still had the flavor of hers, a bit salty, but
delicious. He could still smell her scent, her perfume filling his
nostrils.
I knew it was too good to be true. She is too beautiful to have
even noticed me... He sighed, and looked to the side. His
gaze wondered around the room, every little thing
remembering him of Mercury. The mirror, where she had
several times fixed herself, the window, where she used to
look through, the curtains, where she had playfully wrapped
herself up, his own bed, where she had jumped and bounced
up and down when he had first showed her his room. Even the
walls, they still had the sound of her laughter. He remembered
when he had showed her his bedroom.
"Zoi, this is wonderful! You've got the best view and the sun...
look at this! And this! I want this room! It's so beautiful!"
He shook his head, sending the memories someplace else. I
must get over her. I must stop being so... What's that? Near
his door, a faint glowing was appearing. It was round, and was
getting bigger and brighter. Where have I seen this before? He
stood up, and looked at it curiously. The energy he was
feeling wasn't evil; in fact, it was very friendly. Then, the
glowing took shape, a human shape. It's a princess. Ami used
to travel like this...
Just then, Princess Venus appeared.
