Stuff at bottom!.
Hiroshi inmediatly felt as Reiko stiffened when that name was mentioned.
His mind warned him with a big red light: whomever the speaker was, he had
no clue about Reiko's past. He spun around, reflexively shielding her with
his body. And what they saw, got a gasp from Reiko, and a raised eyebrow
from Hiroshi. A smircking face, with blond hair and pale blue eyes . . . a
man, was the first thought that struck Hiroshi's brain. Yet, there was
something wrong with him . . . a certain *something* that just didn't click
right . . . he noticed his delicate face . . . the thin and feminine hands
. . . a quick peek to *his* chest was enough to make his supicion come true
. . . the one in front of him was actually a woman!!. Very well disguised
that is, but the slight curve of her chest was perfectly seeable to his
trained eye. One thing that he had learnt from his life as a spy was to
*see* . . . and she couldn't fool him.
Suddenly, a fash of green caught his eye. By the side of the tall tomboyish
girl, another one stood. This one was anything *but* tomboyish. She was
actually the picture of femeninity. Wavy long greenish hair, green eyes and
a long dress down to her knees. Her hands were crossed in front of her,
resting on her pelvis, giving her the appearance of an old painting. Yet,
the look on her eyes broke the spell . . . suspiciousness and power, mixed
inside her. Reiko reacted before he did. "Haruka-san, it's not what you
think--"- The blonde turned her eyes towards her, and said: "Ami-chan, stay
out of this. This is business between Mister Heart-throb and me". Then, she
turned her eyes to him, and drilled on Hiroshi's own. He kept her gaze, and
just stared back. He could feel her gaze on him, scanning him for battle.
Reiko still tried to convince this 'Haruka' person. "Please, Haruka-san,
there's nothing wrong. We were only---"- The blonde smirked again. "Don't
try to hide it. I saw your face, and you weren't exactly enjoying his
administrations. Hentais like him are my everyday course". Reiko was taken
back by her answer. She touched her face, and brushed the tears away. That
was why Haruka thought Hiroshi was forcing himself on her!. Again, she
tried to speak, but she was stopped by Michiru. "Don't worry, Ami. Haruka
knows what she's doing. This pervert will get what he deserves". She
controlled her anger at being called that hated name by biting her lip to
avoid screaming. A devilish voice in the back of her mind whispered them to
her: . She shaked her
head, knowing it wasn't right. On the other hand, the two people in front
of her had other plans.
Without giving any advice, Haruka launched forward, her fist ready to make
direct contact with Hiroshi's stomach . . . but she only found air. Turning
around, she saw him standing behind her, as if he had never even moved.
Snarling, she tried to hit him again, this time on the chin . . . but a
firm hand grasped her's and stopped it in mid-air. The strengh of them both
was almost the same, and she just kept pushing while he continued holding
her fist. Then, Haruka saw her opportunity. Lifting her knee, she tried to
hit him on his stomach again, but his leg caught her's. was the only thought running through Haruka's mind on that moment.
With swift and quick movements, her opponent stopped each and everyone of
her moves, as if he was expecting them. Muttering courses, she jumped back,
while he only brought his leg down, and dusted his hands. His air of
superiority was infurating to the Senshi of Uranus, and anger was beginning
to cloud her mind. But, she hadn't taken karate lessons for nothing.
Breathing deeply, she scanned her enemy again.
And that was when Reiko decided to interrupt. "Stop!. Both of you!. You'll
win nothing with this!". Haruka turned her eyes towarsd the blue haired
girl, and said: "Ami, I said 'stay out of this". A small grin appeared on
Hiroshi's lips, when he heard those words. One thing that Reiko couldn't
stand was to be given orders. And he could see as her eyes hardened and her
lips sealed tighter, as the blonde's words registered. On the meanwhile,
Haruka had returned her attention towards Hiroshi. She jumped forward, her
fists ready to strike, when two smaller hands caught both of hers and held
her still. Unconsciously, she tried to push forward, but the hands were
iron fists, and didn't even budge when she did. Finally, she looked up to
Hiroshi, ready to kill him with her look, when she noticed that the hands
which were holding her own were too small to belong to him.
A smirk on his face was enough for her to gasp in sudden realisation.
Looking down, she saw what she had thought. There, standing in between her
and Hiroshi, was Ami. Her hands were firmly pressed to her own, holding her
in place. Trying to break free from pure instinct, she squirmed . . . but
to her surprise, she couldn't. It was as if her whole body was paralyzed .
. . desperate, she tried to shake, but again, nothing happened. Her eyes
went into Ami's face, and was almost thrown back by the emotion she was
showing. On those eyes, those blue eyes, which several times Haruka had
seen buried in books and tests were now piercing onto her own eyes. Anger
and confidence emanated from them, as she was totally unable to move. Only
her eyes amd mouth were still under her control. She spoke softly, the
preassure on her hands making it almost impossible to talk: "Ami-chan . . .
what are you doing?".
Only then did the reality struck. Ami, Mizuno Ami, was holding her back.
The thin girl who could only study. The weak Senshi who knew nothing about
physical fights. The small girl who was the only one who just *couldn't*
defeat her, was actually paralyzing her!. Only Makoto and maybe Rei were in
the position to spar with her, and yet she had to hold back to avoid
hurting them . . . and now, the smallest Senshi next to Saturn was stopping
her with her bare hands!!. Ami answered back quickly, on a whisper full of
held anger: "No one tells me what to do, got that?". It was almost a snarl,
and Haruka was surprised to see how familiar it went with her . . . as if
she had done this all her life. A look behind Ami's back allowed her to see
Michiru, with her hand covering her mouth, and her face showing as much
surprise as her own did. Only Hiroshi's smile was the same as before, as he
raised an eyebrow. "Distant Sky King', hmm?. Seems you've just been
conquered". His voice arouse anger on her soul, and tried to attack him
again . . . but Ami's hands just held her still, not allowing her even to
take a step.
She turned her eyes back to Ami, and asked: "Ami, what's going on here?".
Her voice was full of question and wonder, but the smaller girl didn't
answer any of them. She only spoke with another question: "Are you going to
calm down?". Haruka drilled onto her eyes, for some instants forgetting who
she was talking to. "What if I don't?". Ami's eyes returned the power of
her gaze with as much easyness as if she was staring into the tv: "Do you
think paralyzing is the only technique I know?". Haruka could only stare
dumbfounded at the girl in front of her. The determination in her eyes was
so evident, she somehow knew Ami wasn't kidding. Sighing in defeat, she
said: "Ok, I'll keep my temper down". Ami nodded, and whispered, before
releasing her: "You'd better". As soon as her hands stopped holding
Haruka's back, the blonde girl could move again. She could feel as blood
started reaching her fingers . . . . the grip had been so strong, she could
see as her knuckles were white in strain . . . a feeling of tickleness went
from her wrists to her fingertips, as blood returned to it's normal path.
Looking in surprise at her hands, she gasped as she saw red marks on it . .
. Ami had surely squeezed hard!. That would be bruises tomorrow!. Amazed,
she looked at the couple. Ami was at that time talking to that man: "Excuse
her, Hiro-chan. She's got a very strong temper". 'Hiro-chan' turned to look
at her, and answered back: "She surely does". And then, Haruka could feel
Michiru's soft hands lifting her up. She supported herself on her shoulder,
and stood up. Whispering on her ear, the blonde said: "Michiru, did you see
that?". Her partner's answer came back even softer: "Yes. And I still can't
believe it. What happened to the Ami-chan we knew?".
"She died", came the reply. Both of their heads snapped up, as 'Ami'
answered them. She had heard them even that far way?. Even if they were
whispering?. This was beginning to be one hell of a day. For the first time
since the Outer Senshi had appeared, Reiko's face softened. "It would be
better if we sit down to discuss this . . . believe me when I say you'll be
shocked". Michiru and Haruka nodded . . . what else could they do?. The
realisation of what had just happened was still sinking in, and they just
couldn't believe it. A quick call on the communicator informed everyone
that a Senshi meeting was going to be held, at Rei's temple of course.
Eventhough the reluctance from the Inner Senshi was evident, Reiko ignored
it on purpose. She was going to clear everything up, even if she ahd to
force them to listen.
When everything was set, one by one ther Senshi arrived. At first, Minako,
followed suit by Makoto. Usagi got on time, only thanks to Reiko's idea to
tell her the meeting was half an hour before. Mamoru drove in only a few
minutes before the meeting stared, saying the traffic had been awful. But
Hiroshi didn't miss the certain fear on his eyes when he stared at him for
some time. Haruka, Michiru and Rei were already there. When everyone was
gathered inside the temple's main room, Reiko decided to start. "Well, as
many of you already know, I called you here today because there's some
explaining to be done. But before we start, there are already three people
missing". As soon as she stopped talking, the door opened, and Meiou
Setsuna entered. All the heads turned towards her, and sighed in relief as
they saw it was only her.
The misterious Senshi of Time nodded slowly, saluting on her
always-too-sinister way. Quickly, she went far into the other end of the
room and sat, her back on the wall, her legs crossed and a frown on her
eye-brows. A few seconds later, two small feline figures leapt from the
window. Luna and Artemis, the cat guardians, entered softly and quietly,
only heard by Reiko and Hiroshi's trained ears. They padded to a near
chair, and jumped onto it, sitting closely to each other. And when everyone
was set, Reiko started. The shocking story of her past was beginning to
unfold again in front of the Senshi astonished eyes . . .
To be continued . . .
