Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon
The anime Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon (or Pretty Soldier Sailormoon) is based on the popular manga by Naoko Takeuchi. Sailormoon has to be one of the most popular and most well-known shoujo animes in Japan (and for the rest of the world). It is very hard not to notice it. This popular anime ended recently on Feb. 8, 1997 with its 5 seasons of 200 episodes, 3 movies, a couple of specials and even a musical.
Sailormoon is a story of a young girl named Usagi Tsukino who at the beginning is a regular, clutzy teenager...that is until a black cat that can talk comes into her life and changes her life. Usagi becomes the fighter of truth and justice, Sailor Moon. She and her friends must protect the world that they cherish so much and learn that with the power of love anything is possible, no matter what type of enemy they face.
