Sailor Moon R Storyline Sailormoon R (episode #47-89) Plot: The second series in Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon is Sailormoon R. "R" is an abbreviation for Return, tho other people have interpretted it as Romance, I think Return seems to be more appropriate. It is divided into two sections. It has the first appearance of Sailor Pluto and all the original Sailor Senshi have new moves and stronger powers. ^^ The first part of the series has nothing to do with the manga and is sort of a filler series in order to allow the manga to catch up with it. The enemies for the first part are two aliens, Ginga Seijuurou and Ginga Natsuma (Ail and Ann). They are stealing the energy and strength of innocent people in order to feed this tree called the Makaiju (aka the Doom tree). The Makaiju is their only means of survival. When the series begin, everyone has lost their memories of ever being a Sailor senshi and live a normal life without ever getting to know each other again. However, with the arrival of the new threat, Luna has no choice but to bring back Usagi's memories. The other senshi's memories return a couple of episodes later and the team is finally together. The only difference is that there is no Tuxedo Kamen but a Moonlight Knight in his place (who one can still tell is Mamoru) and Mamoru does not have his memory. Because of Mamoru's loss of memory, a little social love square developes: Usagi likes Mamoru and has a little crush on Seijuurou, (I'm not really sure about Mamoru), Seijuurou likes Natsumi and Usagi, Natsumi likes Seijuurou and Mamoru, Seijuurou hates Mamoru and Natsumi hates Usagi. (Phew...that's a mouth full) Finally, after many battles, the end of the first part draws to a near as Natsumi captures Usagi and feeds her energy to the Makaiju. This leads to the final battle where the Sailor senshi face off with the aliens. However, in the midst of battle, the Makaiju awakens and tells Ail and Ann that the energy she needs is love in order to survive. With this information, the aliens decide to leave Earth to start a new life and providing the Makaiju nourishment with their love. In the end, Mamoru remembers his identity as Tuxedo Kamen, Prince Endymion, etc. and Usagi and him finally reunite. (FYI, Moonlight Knight was a being produced by Mamoru's subconscious in order to protect Usagi. Sounds weird? I know but it's true. ^^) OK, finally to the second (and more important ^^) section. Here, we are introduced to a little girl with two pointy odangos and pink here. IT'S CHIBIUSA!!! *gasp* NEwayz, the series begin with Usagi and Mamoru on a date and Chibiusa literally crashes their date. The new enemy is the Black Moon which include Cooan (Catsy), Beruche (birdy), Karaberas (can't remember ^^), Petz ( Can't remember either ^^), Rubeus, Esmeroodo, Safire, Prince Diamond, and the Wiseman. The Wiseman being the head honcho evil guy. They are trying to destroy Tokyo with evil energy in order to destroy the future Tokyo also known as Crystal Tokyo. (They had already tried to take over Crystal Tokyo and had failed...sorta) NEwayz, Mamoru has been recently having these dreams saying that if Usagi is to ever live, he must stay away from her. Taking this as a sign, he promptly breaks up with a very confused and disheartened Usagi. So, the Sailor Senshi battle going through each bad guy. The sisters all turn good, Rubeus dies in his exploding ship after getting his butt whipped by Sailor Moon with the help of Chibiusa. (Come on, guys, you gotta admit, for a cry baby she sure is good at beating people. ^^) Safiiru turns into a good person, I think but is killed in battle. Esmeroodo was tricked by the Wiseman and was turned into a dragon. She was, however, also killed in battle. Prince Diamond, who had an obsession over Queen Serenity, died saving Usagi's life. And finally, it came to the Wiseman who had taken Chibiusa and turned her into Black Lady (think a slightly older looking Usagi with pink hair, with a little evil spark in her and in a black, "sexy" dress.) Usagi and Mamoru manages to save Chibiusa by telling them how much she is loved by everyone. Finally, Usagi turns into Queen Serenity and begins to battle the Wiseman. It is, however, with the help of Chibiusa, Mamoru and the other senshi that the Wiseman is finally defeated. With the threat gone and Crystal Tokyo no longer in danger, Chibiusa, who turns out to be the future daughter of Usagi and Mamoru, returns to the future to join her parents. THE END... ^^ Senshi introduced: Sailor Pluto...yep, that's it. ^^ Opinion: Well, according to my opinion, this is an OK season. It was pretty good because you got introduced to Sailor Pluto and you got to see the future. There was a lot of action in the end and the drawings are nice. My only problem is the first part which I thought was a little pointless. That and they just had to introduce Chibiusa to us. (She's OK, I guess, but the way she acted so bratty I couldn't help but wanting to strangle her. She did, however have good reason to act that way. ^^) BACK
