Volume 24 :

Tatara, who was on her way to stop Asagi was spotted by Ageha. He
realised that she might have missed his message about the secret of the
underground in the Palace and thus rushed to catch up with her....(he
didn't...^_^;;;).
At this point, Shuri who was going after Tatara got the note Ageha sent.
This increased his urgency to chase after her....

Inside the Palace:
Tatara, on her way to find Asagi had her way blocked by two of his
guards, Ranmaru and Umewaka. At this crucial moment, Kikune appears to
her rescue, telling her tis so good to have met a friend like
her. Finally, Tatara gets to meet Asagi......
Ageha came to the opening of the tunnel leading to the underground of
the Palace. He knew that this is a one-way ticket and once he enters the
tunnel, there's no turning back. He also becomes clears that
Tatara(Sarasa) will be the girl he is going to die for.
Meanwhile, Shuri came to the scene where Tatara was confronting Asagi
and heard her telling Asagi that "He, not Shuri, is the one 'Tatara'
choses as partner, and she will bring him back even if she gets killed
by him."
Asagi was touched and tried to hug her but she was snatched away by
Shuri at the last moment.Tatara thought that she has lost her last
chance to bring him back.
The threesome was interuppted by Asagi's teacher and his sister. When
Asagi came forward to fight his teacher, Tatara who realised that she
was wrong not trusting him all along, said :'Take care of this' and the
left the scene.
Tatara finally saw the Emperor and fell to his trap just when she
thought he was a defenceless old man.Shuri saw how much pathetic and old
the Emperor became and lets him off.He knows that even the Emperor can
leave this palace, he cannot escape from his evil deeds and his people.
Asagi managed to kill his teacher( I think) but he hestiated to kill his
sister. The princess then told him that he was born of the lowest class
which had no royal blood in him. She adopted him because she thought he
was adorable. He was kinda shattered but spares her life....
At this point, Shuri cannot hold on any longer and told Tatara to leave
him alone and run for her life. Tatara suddenly remembered what Nagi had
told her :' If you feel that you cannot go on, you must not sit
down.Once you sit down, you can never get to your feet again. This also
means that you are dying soon. Thus, no matter how tough it is, you have
to get going...."
