nifty site! i like it a lot. and now a few words about desty nova, sure hes a real jerk, experimenting on people and all, but i feel kinda sorry for him, like in that whole dream thing in vol 9, and how it wasnt meant just to weaken alita, but also, it w s his dream. then afterwards how he said that if they were still in his dream, that he would do anything to protect alita. it almost made me cry (ok, thats a lie, it didnt even come close to making me do that, but still i really liked that part).

Well, it has been a while. I see that the ring is as popular as ever. Visits are up and I've made some additions. Unfortunately some people had to be let go -- but the new-comers are a continuing example of the excellence this webring hopes to present and sustain.

Here's something else: the PotS homepage may be moving. I've discussed housing the ring with www.gunnm-seraphim.org. The owner, as you may or may not know, is the estimed Dan Snyder. His webpage, Seraphim of the Scrapyard,is part of the ri g. We look forward to striking up a partnership with him.

We also look forward to updating the page. Some new links and features will be added... Hopefully, the PotS homepage will continue to provide easy navigation and accessible information. I've been reading mangas for several years and Gunnm is still my fave one. Unfortunately, people are talking less and less about Alita/Gally's story. I sincerly hope that , when Aqua Knight Saga will hit the shelves in the USA and Europe, it'll be as succ sfull as Kishiro's previous works. By the way, does anyone know when Viz Comics will publish Aqua Knights?

A gaunt, white haired man, wearing a pair of dark glasses, reaches into a small plastic container. He removes a single item. He lifts it to get a closer look, appreciating the fine gradations in its infrared signature. He turns it in his hands, feels the electric sensation of knowledge, locked deep within. Finally, he is ready. His eyes close. His hands caress its cool, plastic shell. His fingers, ignoring all material boundaries, slip between the very atoms that compose it, reaching deep within to draw out its very soul. A gasp. He can taste it, the high pitched, singing hum of the memories locked deep within. He revels in the experience, dances with the song it sings. A smile. He opens his eyes again, and puts the tiny artifact aside, very reverently. Humming to himself, he turns to his keyboard, and begins to transfer his experience to the keys of his instrument. And on the table where he left, it, a G. I. Joe Action Figure lies, silently waiting for the next time the musician will return to seek out a new song from his muse. That is what I am thinking of.

I was touring through Canada with a group of my friends. For some reason which I can't remember, I really wanted to do e-mail. Incredibly, we found a cyber café in a small town in whatever province we were visiting. It was in a mildew-green building, down in the basement. I asked the man behind the counter for a computer, and he gave me a hot-pink-and-aqua gourd (i.e. the squash) as a claim. When I sat down at the computer, I couldn't log in. I kept trying and trying the password I had, and it didn't work, no matter what I did. -- RedSonja--I think this is a beautiful page, and I wish I had my own WWW page to put on the ring. I hope that you and I can meet in the chat room at some time.

I dreamed I was at the beach with my father. We were on a floating platform, about 20 yards offshore. We were playing a game. A bunch of water was shot into the air, and we would have to shoot it down with water out of another cannon. Points were awarded sed on how much water you could knock down. Then a couple of large waves hit the deck, and we were knocked overboard. We swam to shore; but I hadn't been swimming in a long time, and the effort tired me out. I picked myself off the sand and saw I was on s me kind of sandy peninsula. In front of me, across the peninsula, was a dock with a large number of boats moored to it, and beyond that a road surrounded by trees. To one side of me was a man of 35 or 40 sunning himself in a setee, and across the peninsul was a group of people--two women and two children?--having a picnic. Most strange of all was the group of naked mole rats all piled one atop the other, catchin' rays. My friend Ceci HATES naked mole rats, with a passion. -- Red--GREAT IDEA! I put Seraphi on the instant I came across it. I'll let Sungazer and Fiona on next.
