yoshizumi wataru
a mangaka whose works have been serialized in ribon mascot. those works are; radical romance, marmalade boy, kimi shika iranai, shijuusou geemu "quartet game", mintna bokura, and random walk. she is currently working on random walk, a series in ribon. her style of drawing is very cute, and her characters clothes are very stylish. she was born on the 18th of june in tokyo-to. her blood type is a. travelling and shopping are hobbies of hers. fruit and sashimi are her favorite food. a special skill she has is that she can sing "clarinetto wo kowashichatta" in french. her favorite actor/ tv personality is Akasaka Yasuhiko.

saito chiho
debuting in 1982 with ken to madomoaseru "the sword and the mademoiselle", blood type b, and her birthday on the twentyninth of june, saito chiho is one talented woman. her works; sekai to s&m (with be-papas), shoujo kakumei utena (also with be-papas), ao ringo meikyuu "blue apple mystery", aru hi, naito ni atta nara "one day, when i met a knight", etowaaru gaaru "etoile girl", koibitotachi no basho "lover's place", koi monogatari "love story", tenshi no tattoo "the angel's tattoo", mou hitori no marionetto "another marionette", opera-za de matte te, kanon, bashirisu no musume "daughter of bassilis", and gin no ohkami "the silver wolf". these works are published by flower comics. currently she is doing illustrations for ikuniweb as a member of be-papas, along with her manga work. (she has a cat called chuchutaro). she gives such expression and beauty to her characters. most of her manga are romantically inclined, so you wouldn't really want to read them if you think romance is dead and in the grave. unless, of course, your into second chances.

wasada chie
her works have appeared in nakayoshi and amie (kodansha). she works mostly with short stories. nervous venus, summer blue, virgin shock, megami, saigo no rakuen, kamisama no inai hi, sikitte iwanai!, and kazoku no monday, are titles of her work. her manga style is very sharp (a.k.a. angular, lots of sharp edges, not round), and her stories are very modern. an interesting thing about her is that she incorporates various languages into her work. for a begining reader of wasada-sama i would recomend nervous venus. the length of the story is only four tankoubon in length, with perhaps more coming. and if you haven't noticed by now, i'm into funny bishounen, and her works kinda ease the frenzy.

sadamoto yoshiyuki
born on january twentyninth, nineteen sixty two. he is blood type a and best known for his work shinseiki evangelion "neon genesis evangelion". the manga story of this title is still being created and has basically the same story concept, but is different than the anime. he is a co-founder of gainax and works as a character designer. currently he is working on furi kuri "flcl". his style is very neat and i particularly like his character drawing of ayanamei rei.

yazawa ai
this mangaka was born in hyougo ken in the year 1967 in the 3rd month on the 7th day, and has blood type b. she has two cats, nukesaku and torajirou (well, at least she thinks they are two cats, however, they could be a racoon and fox). she lives in kanagawa ken, a prefecture next to tokyo. pisces is her astrological sign. her hobbies are making long phone calls, and her favorite food is chocolate (mine too =^.~=). her skill is to laugh to cover things up. yazawa eikichi is her favorite singer and sings rock. ano natsu is the title of the first manga she published, it was in the 1985 ribon original early spring issue. a list of her published manga are: kagen no tsuki (last quarter), raburetaa (love letter), 15 nen me (the fifteenth year), marinburuu no kaze ni dakarete, usubeni no arashi, baraado made soba ni ite, tenshi nanka ja nai (it's no angel), escape, kaze ni nare!, gokinjo monogatari (neighborhood tale), paradise kiss. the above works were published in ribon and by ribon mascot comics. however, her newest manga, nana, is being shown in the magazine cookies, by shueisha. what i like about her style is the clothes and the facial features (lips, and how she draws the eyes).
