Verses
Two of the most famous Manga animations must surely be "Akira" and "Ghost in the Shell." Most Japanese animations have a great attention to detail, but these two films are particularly well executed. "Akira" has more action in it, but in my opinion, "Ghost in the Shell" has the edge due to being more thought provoking.
For me, one of the greatest moments in "Akira" is the scene at the beguinning showing the gang riding throught Neo-Tokyo on their bikes. The music in this really adds to the image.
"Ghost in the shell" (Also known as "Kokaku Kidotai") has a scene that also uses music well. The most outstanding scene is the one where Motoko gets pulled to bits by the tank. This becomes very intense when the music starts to kick in, and the animation of her being tossed about like a doll is horrifically realistic.
