Lady Gaia sat alone in her sanctuary watching the surface through a small viewing globe. The site wasn't very pretty. Darkness had covered the once bright and beautiful planet. She vanished the vision and stated to weep, feeling a sense of loss for her children.

Bentaris watched in the pool of water in the center of his chambers as Jedite's blast of dark energy tore through the chest of Sailor Moon, causing her to collapse onto the ground. "With the Moon Princess dead there is no hope to stop me, but still Senshi may arise, and if they do I can gain their trust and then destroy them from within." With that Bentaris closed his eyes and teleported to the site of the battle. "Jedite, you will suffer for this murder."

Jediete turned and looked at Lord Bentrais. "And who are you to stop me? I'll just take you down as I did the child. She was kinda cute too," he said with a laugh and sent a blast of Dark energy toward Bentaris.

Bentaris dived to the side and drew his sword, leveling it at Jedite. "I am the father of Chaos, now reformed to the side of justice; fall before the might of Lord Bentaris, because you have met your better."

Jediete snickered. "I doubt that," he said and parried to the side, missing the sword by only inches. He then brought his hands forward and sent a blast at Bentaris once again.

Bentaris felt the energy cascade against his armor and he went reeling back hitting the ground and glared at Jedite. "Big mistake." He pulled back his hand and release a sphere of energy straight at the Negaverse General.

Sitting in his chambers, the dark figure could sense something was happening: a battle. Suddenly a large mirror appeared from behind a panel. The frame of this mirror was made out of gold and seemed to be a number of years old. With a wave of his hand the dark figure watched as two men fought. He could see a great deal and noticed a figure laying on the ground nearby. His eyes studied the person that was lying on the ground. Raising a hand into the air, the dark figure's hand started to glow, and in the mirror the body of Sailor Moon disappeared from sight.

Jediete dodged the blast flawlessly. "Is that the best you can do?" he said with a laugh and sent another blast at Bentaris. He then noticed the rising of Sailor Moon and her disappearance. "What the... where did that Moon Brat go?" he said, allowing his back to turn to Bentaris.

Lady Gaia watched the fight from her sanctuary. She worriedly looked at Bentaris as he fought and screamed as he was hit in the chest. She instantly teleported to his side. "Bentairs... are you all right?" she asked in a very wavery tone as she looked at his armor.

Bentaris shook his head and stood up, "Just fine." With that he reversed the grip on his blade and flung it at Jedite. "Never turn your back on me." The sword went straight through Jediete. He screamed in pain and turned to look at Bentaris. "If I'm going to die this day, then I die with the knowledge that Sailor Moon is also dead," he said with a laugh and fell to his knees. His eyes landed on Lady Gaia as he brought up his hands. "And I'm going to take the other Sailor Bitch with me!" he said and sent a ball of energy screaming at Lady Gaia.

Lady Gaia screamed as she saw the energy rushing for her. Frozen in fear, she fainted just as the ball pasted by her head, singeing some of her hair so she fell to the ground.

The dark figure watched the battle. His hands folded in front of his mouth. Watching the Negaverse General fall to the ground with a sword impaled into his chest, he watched as the woman fell from the oncoming attack that just barely missed her. A smirk came to his face. "It is time," he said and stood up. Walking over to a pad he stood there and a beam of light surround him. "So it has begun? The Senshi of the Moon is dead and now the world is defenseless," said the dark figure. A hologram of himself stood in front of Lord Bentaris and Lady Gaia.

Bentaris pulled up, splitting Jedite's head as his blade grew white for a moment, the glow disappearing, leaving the blade clean of blood. He sheathed it and turned, kneeling by Gaia. "Are you ok?"

Lady Gaia lay unmoving on the ground.

Bentaris reached down, gently lifted Gaia's frail body, and glared at the strange figure. "If you mean this woman or myself harm you will regret it."

The dark figure just stood there. "Do you think you can truly hurt me? My business here has nothing to do with you or her," he said. "Now that the girl who was killed a few minutes ago is gone, it is time I look for Senshi to take her place." A small smile came to his face.

Bentaris glared at the figure. "Then why are you here?"

"Why am I here? I am here to tell you that the Sailor Senshi will continue to protect this planet," said the dark figure. "But aren't you wondering who am I?" he asked.

Lady Gaia stirred in Bentaris's arms. "Bentaris... what happened? Are you all right?" she asked as she awoke.

Bentaris glanced down at Gaia, and whispered, "I'm fine, Mother of Earth." He looked up at the Benefactor, "Everyone is entitled to their secrets. Who you are is of no concern to me." *I'm more curious than you know my friend, but there is no need to let you know that.* His gaze remained firm and he clutched Gaia protectively in his arms.

Lady Gaia looked up at the Benefactor. "Who are you... what do you want?" she asked, snuggling closer to Bentaris, almost afraid of this figure.

The dark figure bowed a bit. "My name is the Benefactor," he said. "As you now know, the death of the Senshi of the Moon is not the end of the world. There are other Senshi and I will find them." He slowly started to fade. "We will meet again," he said and was gone.

Lady Gaia stared after the figure. "If he can find all the Senshi, then maybe there is still a chance for saving the children of this planet." she whispered.

"That may be Gaia, but why the mystery? I have a feeling he may have his own intentions," Bentaris said, releasing Gaia and standing up.

Lady gaia looked worriedly at Bentrais. "I don't know, love. I guess we'll just have to wait and see," she replied.
