Fears: To always be talked down to because of his height and age, and he deeply fears that he will forget rei if he doesn't carry on her work.

Personality: Ryuji is very mature and highly intelligent for his age, he is not really emotionally random as some of the others but does have his childish moments, for the most part he usually calm and collected. He likes to have people around him even though he is rather shy, most of the time he like to just watch them interact so he can have an idea of what to do with unfamiliar people. He has a slight tendancy to come of as the cute little brother. He rarely ever talks to those outside his small circle of friends, fearing one of his most noticable traits shows, rather his bluntness. he never really means any harm by it, but he always tells things how he sees them and most of the time he doesn't realize it, and it usually comes out so nice sounding people don't realize till it is too late. He can occasionally get depressed when he thinks of Rei or when someone makes jokes about his height but he usually recovers quickly. He is somewhat accident prone, not so much as a being a clutz but funny things tend to happen to him for strange reasons. One final note is that Ryuji is constantly analyzing any given situation just in case he has to come up with a way to fix a problem, this is uusually denoted by him cleaning his glasses or tapping a finger to his bottom lip, and is prone to extreme bouts of aggression if he feels cornered.

Normal Appearance: Ryuji stands roughly Four feet six inches and has a slightly lithe build. He has short, black hair that flows into a short ponytail, roughly down to his shoulders. He also wears small, thin wireframe glasses over his amber eyes. He tends towards loose, uniformly colored shorts,shirts, pants etc, and usually has a pair of very well kept hiking boots on.

Powers Based On: Fire
Henshin Sequence/Phrase: Mars Flame Power Ryuji holds his transformation pen high as motes of fire rain down upon him and cover the ground, they then rise up in a column of flame, raining illusionary fireballs down on him, slowly melting away his clothing and replacing it with his senshi uniform, as he finishes the tranfromation he spreads tosses one of his arms to the side as if deflecting something, a halo of flame leaving his body. The uniform is pretty much a white and red Tai Chi outfit with a gold circlet around his head, the pants are a deep brick red and the shirt is a pure white with deep red trim. he gets fingerless white gloves and finishes the ensemble with a pair of white martial arts slippers. A final overlay is a burst of flame forming a light chest guard that is white in color with a red phoenix on the front, forearm and shin guards of a similar design appear as well.

Powers
Flame wave: Ryuji takes the Flame Cypher and holds the blade end away from his opponent, a small wave of flame shooting up the blade, he then dashes forward whipping the blade around to his front, loosing the flames from the blade.
Weapons/Equipment:
Ryuji has a crystal good luck charm Rei had bought for him when he was younger, it has the Kanji for young engraved on it and is made from red hewn crystal. He was an orphan left on the shrine steps some years ago and Grandfather Hino, Rei and Yuichirou kindly took him in.
As Mars Knight he has access to the Flame Cypher, this weapon is pretty much a policeman’s night stick, with the t-section still there, but the longer shaft of wood replaced by a crystal blade.

History
Ever since he was a baby, Ryuji remembers Rei, they practically grew up together. He was an orphan left on the shrine steps some years ago and Grandfather Hino, Rei and Yuichirou kindly took him in. He was pretty much raised like one of the family, growing close to the young Rei whom was around him more than grandfather. Roughly six months ago a monster attacked the shrine for reasons still unknown Rei and Ryuji were the only ones at the shrine at the time, it was at this time he learned of Rei's identity as Mars Knight who had no choice but to tranform in front of him, less they both be killed. She fought a brave fight, but the monster eventually won out by going after the defensless Ryuji. Mars managed to torch the beast with a burning soul but was impaled on its claw as she did. Grandpa and yuichirou arriving in time to get her to the hospital, where she went into a common from her injuries. Several weeks past, each day Ryuji spent with her. The her final day came, and she motioned for Ryuji to come near.
"Oneesama?" Ryuji cried in both happiness but at the same time a sense of dread coming over him, but he remained silent as she spoke.
"I'm sorry but I can't be with you and grandfather anymore." She coughed a little as she reached for Ryuji's hand. Ryuji gasping slightly as he felt something put into his hand.
"You know now, please carry on for me, it'll be hard for you, but I beleive in you, and you'll meet others on the way." Ryuji was shedding more tears than he'd eve known at this moment.
"You, you can't die, you're you're kidding right, the the doctors are gonna come in here and everything will be fine."
Rei looked sadly at her adoptive brother and shook her head weakly.
"It is too late for that, promise me?" Rei pleaded.
Ryuji nodded as he wiped a tear from his eye.
She bobbed him lightly on the nose, "Don't cry, be strong for me, I'll always...be with you...." She then closed her eyes, leaving ryuji alone in the room.

Current history
Ryuji now attends Juban, but there isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't stop by Rei's grave and ask for guidance or to talk to her spirit, in honor of her memory he occasionally attempts to help with the duties of the shrine as best he can. He is trying to make friends and go on with things, making the best of every moment he is still trying to fulfill her last wish though, but has no idea how to do it.
