Guardian dropped to the rooftop before the three Generals, remembering what had happened last time he had gone head to head against them, before the fall of the Moon Kingdom, "I would worry less, Kunzite, of the police and more towards the threat most prominent, and dangerous." He breathed steadily, he had trained since that last battle, his tactics had changed, even his powers had changed somewhat. He was no longer the Imperium Knight they knew, he couldn't even be recognized as once being that man. No now he was only, the Guardian.

"Or idiot youma to get things done for him," Zoisite remarked acidically, folding his thin arms across his chest. Him siding with Nephrite. The imps and demons must be ice skating at present. Jaden eyes sliding up and down Kunzite's form like a caress, an involuntary purr started in his throat. Even after being tossed around by the other king, he couldn't help but appreciate the form under the standard uniform of the Dark Kingdom. Entirely too bad that the ice king was unmeltable if one listened to rumors. Still...The voice of Guardian tugged him out of these thoughts. Glancing upwards to the man, a scowl painted itself across his lips. Nudging Nephrite gently, he murmured, "Shall we, or should we let Kunzite try to prove just why we're supposed to follow him?"

"I do not let idiots or humans handle my affairs except when SUGGESTED to do so by our beloved Queen," Kunzite shot back at Nephrite, a faint smile crossing his face. He was there when Nephrite was first assigned to teach Zoisite, and the grilling session that she put the star king through was mild compared to the one he'd suffered through for this stupid exercise. "No doubt you have faced similar suggestions, especially concerning your latest student." He turned at the sound of Guardian's voice, his manner switching from that of a man near his breaking point to one who was in complete control over everything. He raised an eyebrow at the man's dull appearance, crossed his arms, and said in a tone of voice that hinted at yawning, "And what are you suppose to be? The knight of Pajama Power?"

Guardian kept his mind calm, it was the most deadly of the Generals he faced, "Well put for a coward who betrayed the Earth Kingdom and Endymion so long ago."

Zoisite blinked curiously. There was a name vaguely familiar that echoed somewhere in the corridors of his mind, knocking on doors that had long ago been shut and locked as tightly as Beryl could manage. Covering a snicker at the two kings bickering back and forth, he nudged Nephrite and whispered, "I bet you the use of the Ferrari next week that Kunzite won't take being called a coward."

"Please," Kunzite replied with a flick of one hand at Guardian. "Are you suggesting that I turned my back on Earth and it's oh-so noble prince? It was him that turned his back on us to play kissy face with the Moon Brat!"

"Exactly!" Zoisite chimed in. "He was too busy enjoying his romps in the bed sheets with her to even save his own people and planet! I *told* him that Beryl-hime was coming, but did he care? No! He just kept saying, 'Stop being paranoid, Zoisite. No one is going to dare raid the Earth and Moon. Did he care that we watched the outer planets fall one by one? No.That fool isn't fit to be alive much less our ruler."

Nephrite snickered. "Kunzite, I'd like you to meet the biggest throne in my side, Guardian." he said. "As for our...beloved Prince...I could care not if he was dead. He allowed everyone to suffer. It was Beryl-hime that Showed mercy to the Earthlings. And for her mercy I was glad to get rid of that annoying kingdom and their ever so high and mighty Queen. And Jadeite's name shall live forever, as the General who put an end to the Moon Kingdom and its tyrannical rein."

Guardian stood calmly, *Her brainwashing is if nothing very good. She didn't erase their memories, merely rewrote them, much more effective. At least they explained what happened to the Princess and Jadeite.* He shook his head, keeping his voice calm, "The Prince loved the Princess, he wished to bring peace between the Earth and the Moon. Beryl and the witch Metallia decimated humans, used them for their personnel needs, as you all do. You claim to have loved this world, yet you plague it like the pure evil you serve."

Kunzite nodded in agreement with the two other kings, his eyes narrowing as Guardian talked. He had some points but he didn't see the whole picture. He sighed slightly and said in a patient tone of voice, "What better way to watch over our home than to gain a position where we can come and go as we feel? However this isn't the world we loved. This is a travesty and in order to bring it back to the way we wish it to be, we must first bring the populace to heel. Then we can recreate our true home." His tone turned to ice, "Don't hide the facts from us with sugar, we knew what was going on behind our backs and we remember how we were treated by everyone of those stinking Lunians and our very own ruler. There is no way that you can convince us that WE were the reason for Endymion's failure. And I am glad that I led the forces of the Dark Kingdom to victory against them. As for your comment about cowardliness," he shrugged "sometimes cowardliness can be confused with tactics. Sometimes overkill is better than underestimating your foe." Kunzite raised his hand over his head, bright white energy twisting in the palm. Three beams of light shot off hitting the ground around Guardian, the beams changing into three columns. The columns faded and standing there were three people, two men and one woman, dressed in a style that echoed the uniforms of the three kings. "Taconite, Serpentine, Augate, prove to your Queen and to me that you deserve to become the fourth General. Destroy that human."

Guardian simply remained calm, "The witch brain washing is strong, perhaps without the Prince or Princess it will not even be possible to break it, then so be it." He drew his sword, not bothering to turn towards any of three around him, and keeping his gaze on Kunzite, *I've taken you three on along with Jadeite, you think these wanna bes scare me, think again.*

Nephrite stood back and watched. *And if this fool and get rid of that capped idiot, it will make my job alot easier..and the Dark Kingdom will reign supreme again.* he thought. Zoisite's thoughts were along the same line as Nephrite's, except that he wanted to bump off all the other two kings and Beryl-hime. Levitating in midair alongside Nephrite, the youngest king's voice lashed out like the sibilant hiss of a snake's, "Neffy-chan? Do you suppose that Kunzite-sama just can't take on this pest by himself so he has to send idiotic youma to do so?" *Get the two of the mad and let them kill each other... perfect.*

"Not exactly," Kunzite replied, floating a few inches to the side of Zoisite. The Ice King's smile was as sharp as the ice that was reputed to flow in his veins. "This way I can take care of two birds with one stone. If my.. students can toast this pest, than one will replace Jadeite and the others will become subcommanders. If they fail and live, THEY can train the new recruits leaving more space for us to do our jobs. If they die, well, I won't shed any tears for them."

"We don't get any call on who replaces Jadeite?" Zoisite asked with an angry squeak. With Jadeite dead, he had moved up to the third king, and he'd be damned if he was having anyone at his back as the fourth king. Narrowing his eyes faintly, he rose up higher until he was on eye level with Kunzite. He hated be looked down upon. Folding his arms across his chest, Nephrite went ignored at his backside for the moment... a fatal mistake under normal circumstances. "Who authorized this?"

Kunzite raised an eyebrow at Zoisite and said with a lazy drawl, "Do you really think that I'm happy with this? I have far too many rivals in the form of you and your Star kisser, I don't need a fourth. It was Beryl's idea that I test them and if they succeed, than us three are to choose the best of the lot to be groomed for Jadeite's place."

Below, the three youma were looking up at the three kings with angry mutterings, then with a disgusted snort, the tallest of the three, a female with dull green hair flickered a hand at the Guardian, her long flame-colored nails flashing like glass. "Fine, let's get this over with," she snapped and spat a globe of a vicious liquid at Guardian. "Did you hear him?" complained a short, squat male with rust colored skin and hair. "I can't wait to get rid of him. When I'm king..." "Tachonite! Please!" the last male hissed, his body twisting like he was water. "'When I am king'" he mocked. "Can't you say anything else?"

"My Star kisser?! I'll have you know that there's nothing between us. How dare you call him mine!" Zoisite nearly shrieked out at Kunzite, small hands curling into fists as he crouched slightly in fury. To say that he was preparing for attack was an understatement. The ice king was pressing every button of anger that he could manage in the sakura. "Youma as a king? Have you lost your mind? They're worthless, idiotic creatures that aren't fit to walk to same land as we do!" Zoisite was conviently ignoring the fact that Beryl-hime had suggested the idea.

Nephrite snickered. The Ice King always knew how to get on the little rat's bad side. "Well then, if one of them is going to replace the third king, we better make it more of a challenge. I for one don't want a failure underneath me." he said and pointed at the opponent. "By the Power of the Stars...." he whispered and smiled evilly. "For once, I don't mind if the Guardian wins." he said as he pumped energy into the being.

Zoisite blinked as he turned, attention lashing back to Nephrite, fully expecting to be caught in the face with a the star king's attack. Surprise overtook the sakura when he realized it was headed in the opposite direction, meaning to take out the youma and/or Guardian. Turning his back on Nephrite could have been a fatal mistake, something that made him curious as to why the other hadn't taken advantage of it. Nodding his mute agreement with the idea itself, Zoisite raised his fingertips before him. With a sharp cry of "Zoi!", a furious hail of razored sakura blossoms burst from his hands, streaking towards the youma and the Defender of the Senshi.

Kunzite just crossed his arms and smiled slightly. Things were getting interesting. Tachonite and Serpentine were fighting each other, Augate was going after Guardian and his two rivals were helping the Guardian. He would join in but he didn't want to get blamed for 'accidentally' hitting one of his own men. But then again... With a shrug of his shoulders, Kunzite called into being his boomerangs and threw them into the fray.

Guardian's mind flew into hyperdrive. The spit hit the ground to his side when the blast of energy gazed his back, pushing him forward. Instinct took over as he ducked back, bending his back just in time to watch sakura blossoms sail just above his chest, and in time to watch as one boomerang skittered across the roof, while the other sliced into his arm, his sword fall free of his gift. He rolled, his mind slowing everything to a level he could manage, *Careless. Forgot about the Generals, and focused on the contenders for Jadeite's place. Odds are not in my favor.* He rolled away from the large group, and his eye took in the six adversaries standing before him, *Talk about Custer's Last Stand,* he thought dryly.

Another lash of ice shards quickly followed, all of them headed for the youma. In his mind, they were a greater threat than the Guardian ever was. They would be at his back constantly, fighting him for his position. A paranoid delusion person, Zoisite wasn't about to allow that. If any if his deadly projectiles hit Guardian by default, so much the better. Another bonus might be getting to see Kunzite's face as he tried to explain how not one but three students were dead. At least Nephrite had the comfort there of his own being alive still... then again, Zoisite was generally to vicious to simply slaughter as they would the youma.

Nephrite smiled devilishly. "Excellent." he muttered. *Not only will I get rid of the Guardian, but also with Zoisite's temper, then competitors as well. Who needs a fourth General, Beryl has the cream of the crop right here." he thought.

Guardian moved, Zoisite was providing him just what he needed, help. He brought his sword into play, barely whispering, "Imperium Spirit Cut." The faint blue glow appeared as he swung it towards the spitting youma, leaping over an ice shard in the process.

Kunzite caught his two blades then folded his arms and shook his head slowly. This exercise only proved to him that Beryl was nuts.

Augate's eyes widen in surprise, and with one hand, she grabbed the stubby Taconite and pushed him in front of her to intercept the blast. As an added form of protection, she made a quick motion, covering herself with a slightly solid bubble of energy.

Zoisite giggled darkly. This had been entirely too much fun. Once more perching in thin air next to Nephrite, he tipped a wink to the star king. "Neffy-okami? Perhaps we should leave? It looks like Kunzite-sama might have a great deal to explain to Beryl-hime... such as how all three of his students met their unfortunate accident. Come to think of it, Guardian looks like he might want to make the ice king's aquaitance." Waving a hand to Kunzite, Zoisite's gaze turned back up to Nephrite. *That'll teach Kunzite to pull my hair, get me all dirty, and try to make another king. Let that be a lesson.*

Nephrite shook his head. "Leave if you want. I'm more interested in seeing what happens." he said. Then he said on the side. "I got 100 yen that says The Guardian will get at least one more scratch from our good king here." he said.

"I'll see that bet, and raise you, Neffy-okami. If Kunzy manages to send Guardian off with more damage, you get to be my slave for a week. You'll do what I say, when I say. No limits... anything *I* say goes." Malicious good cheer consumed Zoisite's eyes as he extended a hand to Nephrite. One could only guess what the sakura would have the poor star king doing if he won, considering just how down and dirty that he could get. Ahhh... revenge. "If Guardian wins, you get whatever you want. If Kunzite-sama wins, then you do whatever I want. Deal?"

~You wouldn't have gotten all dirty if you hadn't attacked me, Zoisite, ~ Kunzite's cold mind-voice echoed into the little sauka's mind. ~Be glad that I pulled my blows or we might have to replace TWO kings.~ Turning his back on the two as they laid their bets, he drifted slowly to ground, eyeing the remains of his students with contempt. Serpentine was half pulped by a blow from Taconite, Taconite himself looked to be in no better condition, while Augate had at least managed to keep herself interacted, if not much more. Kunzite shook his head and raised a hand, a blast of energy slamming into Serpentine, setting him on fire. The energy blast jumped from the burning youma to Taconite, who managed to cover his head before he too burst into flames. The energy then jumped to Guardian.

Augate watched this with an ugly expression on her face, not daring to move as the ice king came closer. She closed her eyes expecting to join the other two youma, but instead felt the king brush past her to stand on the one side of the stinking fire to coldly watch Guardian. Taking this as her leave to go, she fled back to the Dark Kingdom to hide.

Nephrite narrowed his eyes. "Alright..but one more thing. Neither of us can interfere. If I see you attack Kunzite the bet's off. Deal?" he asked extending for the handshake.

Guardian's body did one thing, roll, snuffing the flames as they enveloped his cape and body. Patches of the black body suit and cape were missing, including his cowl, leaving the solid black face mask over his face though. Even the eye areas had opaque covering, his missing eye would be give away to others were they to see it, to his opponents it would look as if he could not see. He kept his blade tightly in his right, ungloved hand, speaking in his typical, emotionless tone, "Looks like your students were inadequate."

"Why should I attack Kunzite? He wins, I win. I promise not to interfere as well." Sliding his frail seeming hand into Nephrite's, the slim fingers closed about the star king's. ~I'm too cute to kill, Kunzy. If you had tried to kill me, Nephrite and I would have attacked you in tandem. If you can't even handle Guardian there, just how do you think you'll live to defeat both me and Nephrite? Odds are looking pretty slim of you remaining first king. I'd bear *that* in mind if I were you.~

Kunzite dismissed his students with a wave of his arm. "What do you expect from youma? They barely fit for anything but cannon flodder." ~Please, Zoisite, don't underestimate me or overestimate yourself and Nephrite. More than likely, he would've watched us fight then take on the weakened victor than to face me at full power even with your help. And I think I can handle one lone senshi.~ Even as he sent that message, Kunzite made a fist with his free hand. A huge black dome formed around Guardian, sealing him off from the outside in moments.

~That could be, Kunzite-sama. Now why don't you pay attention and win me this bet so I can have Neffy-okami as a pet? I'm sure you don't want to see him getting to order me around for a week.~ Zoisite gave Kunzite a wink of one almond shaped emerald eye, good humor filling their depths. Knowing Neffy-okami, if Zoisite ended up losing, he'd spend his next week doing whatever nasty chores the other could think of or worse. ~I'm thinking Neffy would look smashing in a French maid costume. What do you think, Kunzite-sama? Or would leather be more him?~

Guardian stood calmly, paying the dome no mind, *Let them prattle on how ever they are, when the time comes I will not falter.*

~If you're into that sort of thing. I would actually have him prance about in the buff save for a slave collar.~ Kunzite replied, a twitch to his lips betraying the laughter that tinted his thoughts. ~The star king is too pretty to wear such cheap clothing.~ He eyed the black dome then snapped his fingers. "No need to have it so big for one person... Shrink to fit!" Energy crackling along its surface, the dome closed in, slowly crushing the Guardian.

~Been spending free time on Gor again, Kunzite-sama?~ Zoisite snickered mentally. He wouldn't have figured the ice king for the domination type. The reverse side of that coin worried him as well. Should Kunzite lose... well, that wasn't going to happen. ~Hurry up and finish that pathetic creature off, and I'll let you join in plotting what we can do with Neffy-okami.~

Kunzite raised an eyebrow. ~'We' is it now? Are you saying that I get a piece of Nephrite if I win? Now that would be interesting. I can think of several things to do to the star king.~ Eyes closed, he pictured the inside of the dome, seeing how very close its walls were around the Guardian and gauging how little air was left in the space. Then with an annoyed grimaced, he swept dome, Guardian and all off the building to the ground below. "Enough games. I'm growing bored of this farce."

Zoisite broke into laughter at that point, nearly falling over as giggles broke free of him. That was entirely too much combined with the mental images of poor Nephrite after he was finished. He had always thought that the star king would look smashing with blue hair with bright yellow streaks. Explaining that to his students would be interesting to say the least. However, he couldn't let Kunzite get away with thinking he was in control of things. Peeking over the edge at the dome, he smirked, ~Why Kunzite... I didn't know you were interested in men. And here I had wanted Neffy-okami in my bed alone.~

"Peace...Keeper....BLAST!" a shout came from above. An energy ball flew towards Zoisite, stopping just in front of his face and forming a cage around him. Sailor Peace Keeper jumped down with a smirk on her face. "Trade ya. The Guardian for the General." she said.

Nephrite looked at the Senshi and snarled. "We don't make deals. We destroy what is in our way. If you want to play with us, prepare to die!" he said. *I can't believe this. Well..saved me from the fiendish mind of Zoi..at least for a few moments.* he thought and prepared an energy blast.

Zoisite blinked at the cage, outstretching on hand to touch the bars and validate its presence. Yelping in pain, he snarled upwards, turning in his confines to seek a way out. Howling in rage, he glared darkly at Sailorpeacekeeper. One could easily guess that she was shortly to be on his most hunted list. "Nephrite!" he shouted, amazed that the star king would leave him to die if Kunzite killed Guardian.

"Deal," Kunzite said, ignoring the outburst from Nephrite and sparing Zoisite the barest of glances. "I didn't come here to loose another member of the Dark Kingdom's army." A simple twist of his wrist brought the dome back up, the surface thinning enough to view its captive. "Of course, you can always look for another Guardian if you want it that way..."

Guardian didn't give anyone time to react, with the little room left and maneuvered his blade, point down and whispered, "Imperium Spirit Cut." As the blade glowed a faint blue he dropped it, letting the energy release cave in the building top beneath him and allow him to drop through. In the matter of moments he had recovered the blade, made it to a window and propelled himself back to the rooftop, "Do you truly wish to test mettle still, Kunzite?"

"All right," Zoisite snarled up at Peacekeeper. "You have Guardian back, now let me out of here." Glaring up at the woman, the sakura was nearly going insane in the enclosure. One thing he detested was being captured and help, a wild creature that needed his freedom above all. "Let me out... now."

Peacekeeper sighed. "Pushy pushy aren't we. can't stand to be locked up, little General?" she asked teasingly. She wasn't about to let this dirt bag go, but Guardian was free and a deal was a deal. She put up her hands and let the shield drop. "Don't even think about trying anything. I can put you right back in if you do." she said.

Nephrite snarled. "We could have taken her..why did you insist on letting him go. We could have killed him and then our jobs would have been ten times as easy!" he said to Kunzite. He watched the incoming attack and jumped out of its way. It wasn't aimed for him, but he wanted to be sure.

Leaping down and away from Peacekeeper, Zoisite's gaze settled on Nephrite. Unreadable, it seemed his eyes were nothing more than jade mirrors, reflecting everything and showing nothing of the inner self. If there had been a friendship, the star king's abandonment of him had severely fractured it. Folding his arms across his chest, Zoisite's cold eyes moved away from Nephrite's and back to Peacekeeper and Guardian, waiting silently.

Kunzite tapped his boomerang against the side of his face, looking pensive. "Finally. I was getting a little impatient," he told Sailorpeacekeeper. "So you're one of those girls giving Nephrite and Zoisite problems. So far, I'm not impressed." Turning slightly, he threw his boomerangs at Guardian.

Guardian spun on his heals bringing his blade smoothly slicing the two boomerangs before they could collide.

A loud clang of metal hitting metal and the two boomerangs bounced off the blade to fly back towards Kunzite. He caught them one handed, sending a blast of energy at Guardian.

Guardian raised his arm pushing off to the side and ground his teeth as he felt the energy roll across his ribcage as he hit the rooftop, rolling, before springing back to his feet, biting back the pain. He took a deep breathe and spoke evenly, letting no emotion or pain be heard in his voice, or shown on his body, "Is that the best you have, General?"

"Not really," Kunzite replied, folding his arms over his chest and frowning down at the man. A slight smile on his lips did nothing to warm his cold expression. "Don't look now, but you're bleeding all over the place. Let's see if I can get some more from your hide." The twin boomerangs flew through the air at him from different angles, even as he brought both his hands together, a ball of energy forming in them. Twisting like a pitcher, he threw it too.

"Looks like I win," Nephrite stated.

"You did not!" Zoisite snapped back at him. "Kunzite is still winning." "The bet was that Guardian would get off one more strike against Kunzite, not that he would win." Zoisite frowned darkly. As far as he could recall, it was who won overall. Leave it to Nephrite to get technical. "Well, it doesn't matter. Guardian still hasn't touched Kunzite-sama, so *I* win."

"It isn't over yet. That cage was rather nice. I wonder of I could talk her into making you a permanent one. You'd look cute as a wall decoration..." Nephrite replied.

Zoisite growled, falling back into angry silence. Folding his arms across his chest, his mind reached out to touch Kunzite's once more. ~Come on now, Kunzite-sama. He can't be that hard to kill.~

~Hard, no. Slippery as an eel, yes. Please try to be quiet, this is not that easy.~ Kunzite thought back, keeping most of his attention on his opponet.

"Hey, guys," Sailorpeacekeeper said with a wave at the three generals. "Remember me?" Before they had chance to respond, she charged.

Guardian leapt straight up over the energy ball landing on his feet and diving forward, twisting and bringing his foot around towards Kunzite's head, keeping his eyes peeled for a trick of the energy ball.

The energy ball curved in its path, following Guardian's path. Kunzite grimaced and teleported out of the Guardian's foot, ending up on the other side of the building. He caught his boomerangs and frowned at the other generals.

Zoisite turned towards Peacekeeper. Giving the koneko a warning before attacking was never a good idea. Springing to the side with his usual catlike agility, leaving Nephrite to deal with the girl. He turned back towards the Senshi and then to Kunzite. "This is getting us nowhere, Kunzite-sama. You're wasting time and energy fighting with that worthless mortal."

Sailor Peace Keeper continued to charge. "Peace...Keeper...BLAST!" she cried sending her ball of brilliant white light towards Kunzite. "maybe that will teach you Generals when to run." she said standing looking smug with herself.

Kunzite shook his head, an icy but smug smile on his lips. "Why should I run, when you just gave me what I needed?" he replied as the energy ball smashed into an invisible shielding surrounding him. The energy swirled around him and was gone, his eyes flaring with energy. He formed another ball, paused and turned, eyes narrowing. "Yes, my Queen? But I... Yes, my queen." He turned back to the senshi and snarled, "Another time, senshi." With a snap of his fingers, he vanished.

Zoisite blinked as Kunzite just vanished, leaving him and Nephrite behind. The remaining two kings glanced at each other with the same expression of 'Why Do We Follow Him Again?' on their faces. With identical shrugs to each other they vanished as well back to Sanjouin Estate with their signature teleports of a crimson haze from the star king and a whirlwind of sakura from Zoisite. For a moment, they stood silently, staring out at the mists that were always about the sprawling mansion, giving it the eerie, haunted house look that movie pictures seemed to love. Zoisite slid up to perched on the balcony railing, slender legs dangling over the side. With a thought, his steel gray uniform shifted to a pair of blue jeans and an emerald silk shirt. Lifting his matching eyes to Nephrite, he asked quietly, for once using the submissive tones of a student to a teacher, "What do you think of Kunzite-sama?"

Nephrite stood there for a moment before answering. "He brought us here just to show us he could kill off his students. I don't trust him. How long do you think it will be before he decides to turn on us and try to kill us, Zoisite. Stay as far away as you can from him, unless you want to get hurt." he said and teleported away. ~Oh yeah, I won, clean your room~ he sent telepathically.
