TEMPERMENT: Much like his mother, Botan shows ANY amount of passion only when it comes to claiming the Anything Goes Dojo or when it comes to protecting others. He seems quiet and kindly enough at first, and doesn't WANT to fight, but often sees it as the only way to accomplish his goals. He hardly reacts to anything... ever. He is uncomfortable around crowds is capable of being enthralled by the beauty of nature, though how you could tell is beyond comprehension.

BRIEF HISTORY: Natsume had wandered into Ryugenzawa when on a training exercise out by herself. She wasn't scheduled to meet her sister for a couple of months yet and decided to check the legends about monsters. She encountered a giant woodpecker and was starting to wear her opponent down when she was "rescued." Upon defeating the bird, her rescuer promptly fell into a trap. Of course, upon waking up, Shinnosuke couldn't remember where he lived.

After traveling together for a month or so Shinnosuke went to go get a soda from a machine and forgot about Natsume. By sheer luck he made it home. Meanwhile, this a rather "annoyed" Natsume. Who, while not surprised, was not really pleased either. Especially upon discovering that she was pregnant.

From there she raised her son in the life of a martial artist on the road. With the twin goals of finding her father and taking over the Tendo dojo. When they stopped in villages they would earn money by doing various odd jobs. As a result he has a firm grounding in a variety of skills ranging from carpentry to cooking... Basically odd jobs you could find in small country villages.

Searching for his father he has just barely found Nerima, and decided to go ahead and attempt and claim the dojo while he's there.

MAIN GOAL: Take over the Saotome Dojo and find his father.
