NAME: Kakemaru "Tendo" AGE: 17 PARENTS: Kurumi "Tendo" & Tsubasa Kurenai PRIMARY MARTIAL ARTS STYLE: Anything Goes Martial Arts of his Mother's, Mirage Soul Speed School and a generous dash of Hidden Weapons. Since Anything Goes is highly adaptable and incorporates styles that it's practitioners come across, his personal style is based more on various forms of Kung Fu than Kempo, because Kakemaru received the majority of his training in China at the numerous Hidden Temples and Monasteries. CURSED FORM: None BEST FRIEND: Everybody! ^_^ People are wonderful and should be cherished. There are some deeper attachments to the Saotome Sisters, Kyu Hwang, Kaiijiro, and Kantoro. PRESENT NEMESIS: Not that you can tell, but…Kakemaru Hates Everybody!! Or nearly everybody, there are a FEW exceptions. But otherwise, People are terrible, hateful, cruel, nasty, and horrible beasts. Wipe them all out and give what's left to the Rats and Cockroaches. LOVES: Kakemaru's more heartfelt tender feelings are (somehow) reserved for the females of his family, namely his Mother (Kurumi) and Aunts. (Natsume, Akane, Kasumi, and Nabiki) He's unsure how to feel about Ryoko and Joseibi, as they can be considered Pseudo In-Law Aunts. Romantically, he attempts to avoid women in general, considering how dangerous he knows them to be. LOVED BY: Remains to be seen, his mother is currently attempting to get him engaged. TEMPERAMENT: What Kakemaru shows to the world most often, is a caring young man willing to help people in all matters. In reality, not that you can really tell, because you might as well try looking at the far side of the moon than be able to tell what Kakemaru is thinking at any given moment, that is how well conceals himself. He is at the same time the most Decisive and Wishy-Washy Character in the game. And the most hypocritical at times at times, as well. In a gambit (which seems really foolish looking back) to gain more power, Kakemaru underwent a training process that had the end result of separating and breaking apart his emotions into their purest and most extreme forms. He feels the full emotional spectrum at the same time. This is not conductive to one's mental health, it’s a good thing that he suppresses the darker emotions. Through the Soul of Shards process, Kakemaru has gained Enlightenment and is capable of entering a state of contentment. Then he found out that being content does not mean being happy, so he went back to the painful existence of feeling everything at the same time in the hope of attaining happiness. BRIEF HISTORY: Kakemaru is an Imagined Wisp of Smoke talked about in Riddles hidden by Mysteries wrapped in Enigmas. And so on and so on... He has systematically erased all recorded evidence of his existence. The only thing most people know about him is that he is a Monk. It was discovered early on that he had (relatively) very little natural talent for the Martial Arts, unlike 'Geniuses' like his Mother or Ranma Saotome. In an attempt to compensate, he excelled at whatever he did have any talent for, Music, Hiding, Disguises, Cross Dressing, Magic, Arcane Knowledge, Written Languages, Sewing, Gymnastics, Contortions, Acrobatics, Cooking, Eating, Theft, whatever. And his parents supported him in whatever he chose. But it never seemed to matter, all everyone else seemed to care about was Martial Arts, Fighting, and the Talent for Martial Arts and Fighting. No one wanted to acknowledge a Second Rate Martial Artist like Kakemaru. So Kakemaru worked harder training with his mother's teachings; he was working twice as hard as everyone else in the various training grounds that they habitually visited. It still did not matter. Whenever he challenged one of the 'Gifted' Practitioners of Martial Arts, he lost and was then ignored. His mother's encouragement and support kept him from giving up and gave him the needed motivation to work harder. He began training three times as hard as the other students of the art and finally, it began making a difference, he occasionally won a duel. Despite all his hard work, he would only win one challenge out of ten. His mother, Kurumi's, encouragement could only help him so far and Kurumi would not put him through any of the more dangerous training, fearing for his safety. Kakemaru, sullen, frustrated, and disappointed with himself, would have resigned himself to his fate then and there if it weren't for a Kindly Temple Master, Sifu Tsung. Tsung told him that he would go far, be able to surpass those that Kakemaru had labeled 'Geniuses', if he continued working as hard as he did, but warned him that all the hard work in the world would not help him if Kakemaru did not believe in himself. His Faith restored, Kakemaru continued down his chosen path and came across a dangerous process called the Soul of Shards. It would supposedly him an Unbiased Mind, Unclouded Perspective, and a Balanced, Harmonious Spirit. It stated outright that failure to perform the training and corresponding rite of passage correctly would result in Insanity and only an idiot would perform it. Kakemaru always called himself a fool to follow his dream the way he did. Apparently, a fool is very similar to an idiot. Kakemaru went through with the Soul of Shards. It scattered his mind and emotions to the winds. When he pulled himself back together, he was Fragmented. He had to quickly adapt to what it must feel like to be insane, all his emotions coursing through him, making him feel different ways about everything. As a consolation prize, the process gave him Uncanny Perception, he could practically 'see' everything, and nothing escapes his notice. Sometimes he thinks he can 'see' through time and other planes of existence. After Kakemaru recuperated, he began working harder than others in training once again with Ten Times the Effort and Hard Work of others. With his newfound insight, he found new and sometimes better ways of training. 'Why sleep at night when you can train instead?' was one of them. At the age of 16, he is the youngest person known to pass the Shaolin Monk's Rite of Passage. Paranoia set in along with the thought that he is being absurd by being paranoid, but Kakemaru went about systematically erasing all easily traced evidence and records of his existence anyway. MAIN GOAL: To be happy and worthy of the Mother who bore him. To do that, he believes he needs to do the following: · Record the on goings and occurring history of this
age of Nerima. CREATOR: Aksulam PICTURE BY: --- |
