Ranma Saotome Ranma Saotome is a student of the Anything Goes School of Martial Arts. He was engaged to Akane Tendo by his father and her father. "Uncute tomboy" *WHAM* (a table comes flying over from the Akane page and hits Ranma).When Ranma and his father, Genma , were on a trianing mission in China, he fell into the Nyaniichuan or Spring of Drowned Girl so now, everytime he gets hit with cold water, he becomes a she. Hot water reverses the effect. To make matters worse, he is also being chased down by Shampoo , an Amazon woman, who wants to marry him in his male form and kill him in his female form, needless to say, Akane  just loves this.
