Poke-Bosses
This page will show the beginner pokemon trainers all there is to know about beating the bosses. First of all there are 8 trainers to get badges from. Each one is located in the gym of each town. You must defeat each of these gym leaders in order to get a badge. After you gather all the badges, you can challenge the Elite Four with your prize pokemon. With them out of the way you would figure "Hey, I beat the game!"...WRONG!!!! You will still have one opponent left, this is where revievs and potions come in handy. The last person you must battle is your rival ! Yes, amazingly like he always does he managed to get to the Elite four before you. So, do you have what it takes to be the best?

Here are all of the bosses from left to right:
#1 Brock-Pewter city. Pokemon-Geodude L:12 Onix L:14
I would say you would be alrigght  on this boss if you started with a bulbasuar or squirtle as long as they have their type moves(bubble, watergun or leech seed, vinewhip)If you are like this than you should have no trouble whatsoever with Brock. But if you were like so many of us and chose a charmander, you will have a harder time. Your best bet is to train him until he is a charmeleon and also have a butterfree with confusion handy. I found that psychic moves are very affective against rock.Once you win you will recieve a Boulder Badge and TM34-bide.

#2Misty-Cerulean city.Pokemon-Staryu L:18 Starmie L:21
This is probably the most annoying boss in the game unless you started with a bulbasaur and have trained him well. If not I feel your pain. But I have figured an exellent solution to this problem. If you do not want to train many pokemon to be L:21 than what you do is if you started out with a squirtle,MAKE IT HUGE!!!
Give it many normal moves so you can defeat the dreaded STARMIE! Because squirtle is water type, starmie's moves won't be very affective to it.If you have a charmander though you will have to do some serious training on the magikarp you recieve before Mt. Moon. When you make it a gyrados at L: 20, it can't be stoped by a mere starmie. Useing bite the entire time would be your best bet. After defeating her, she will give you the Cascade badge and TM11-Bubblebeam.

#3Lt. Surge-Viridian city.Pokemon-Voltorb L:21 Pikachu L: 18 Raichu L:24
The best thing you can do is not use water or flying type against him. Electric pokemon aren't weak against most other pokemon but aren't strong against a lot either. If you have a large bulbasaur or charmander L:20-29,you should be fine with whatever you have in your aresenal. If you have a squirtle though, you need a psychic pokemon. A drowsee or a kadabra will work great against his electric pokemon. When you win he gives you the Thunder Badge and TM24-Thunderbolt

#4Erica-Celadon city.Pokemon-Victreebell L:29 Tangela L:24 Vileploom L:29
This gym leader is pretty easy. I found if you have a large bulbasaur  or charmander with cut, she is done like dinner. With charmander you have 1 advantage because you also have fire moves to use which can be vey affective and bulbasaur has the advantage that he isn't affected by poison or plant sleep moves. But with squirtle, you should use a psychic pokemon or a large gyrados. Again with gyrados you shuold use bite the entire time.Once you roast her plant pokemon, she gives you the Rainbow Badge TM21-Mega Drain

#5Koga-Fuchsia city.Pokemon-Koffing L:37 Muk L:39 Koffing L:37
 Wheezing L:43
Koga is another rather easy gym leader. If you have a charmander, bulbasaur,or squirtle mathing the level of his pokemon, you are all set. Otherwise the bst thimg you could possibly do is have large psychic pokemon with psychic moves. Poison is extremely weak against psychic.Whem you waste his pokemon, he gives you the Soul Badge and TM06-Toxic.

#6Sabrina Saffron city.Pokemon-Kadabra L:38 Mr. Mime L:37 Venomoth L:38 Alakazam L:43
This is a diffacult one. Since all of her pokemon are psychic, you have little options. You should use all of your biggest pokemon to battle her.As long as your have a level advantage over her you should be allright. Then you meet her alakazam. Not a god thing use all of your pokemon to weaken it and if it is still living than it is time to release a large beedrill on it because psychic is weak to bug pokemon. Since beedrill has the most bug moves out of the other bugs, it is wise to use him. After getting her psychic pokemon to faint, she gives you the Marsh Badge and TM46-Psywave.

#7Blaine-Cnnabar Island.Pokemon-Growlithe L:42 Ponyta L:40 Rapidash L:42 Arcanine L:47
To beat this gym leader you should use any water pokemon that matches arcanine's level.I'm not going to tell you what you should do if you started with a charmander or bulbasaur becuse by now you have access to almost all of pokemon island so you can definately find water pokemon. You should gather some at seafoam islands nad train thema all to at least level 42. Then you will have no problem defeating Blaine. He will give you the Volcano badge and TM38-Fire Blast

#8Giovanni-Veridian city. Pokemon-Rhyhorn L:45 Dugtrio L:42 Nidoqueen L:44 Nidoking L:45 Rhydon L:50
To beat this boss do exactly what you did on Blaine except raise your water pokemon to level 50. This leader is a piece of cake even though he may look tough. He will give you the Earth Badge and TM27-Fissure.Now on to Victory road...

THE ELITE 4

#1Lorelei-water master.Pokemon-Dewgong L:54 Cloyster L:53 Slowbro L:54 Jnyx L:56 Lapras L:56
She is tough. The best advice I can give to you on her is to use your biggest and strongest pokemon and find out whih ones are the best against her.

#2Bruno-fighting master.Pokemon-Onix L:53 Hitmonchan L:55 Hitmonlee L:55 Onix L:56 Machamp L:58
He is very easy. Go with any water or plant pokemon you've got if they're over level 45.

#3Agatha-ghost master.Pokemon-Gengar L:56 Golbat L:56 Huanter L:55 Arbok L:58 Gengar L:60
She is very hard unless you know how to handle ghosts. I suggest you use large psychic pokemon and use any sleep techniques you can.

#4Lance-dragon master.Pokemon-Gyrados L:58 Dragonair L:56  Dragonair L:56 Areodactyl L:60 Dragonite L:62
My advice is to use any large ice or dragon you can. Ice seems to be extermely affective to his dragons

Your rival
