Gender: Female  From: USA

When didya first get interested/exposed to anime

My first exposure to anime was Jungle Emperor. I watched it when I was very young. I also watched Voltron when it came out on American airwaves. However, I did not truly become interested in anime until I moved to Japan. (I was bombarded by anime and manga!) My fate was sealed at that point: I was to become a fangirl for life. ^_^

What's your fav anime/manga? Why?

Gakuen Tokkei Duklyon. (LOL) This series captured my heart the minute I picked it up. Completely silly and stupid at times, this is the kind of series that I adore. Plus, where else are you going to hear the line, "If you don't eat breakfast, you won't grow as big and strong as Godzilla." (or something to that effect. ^_^;;)

When didya start drawing anime? Which artists inspired you and help create your "style"?

Umm... I think I started drawing in the anime style in 1995 (I think), the year Sailor Moon came on TV. I fell in love with Naoko Takeuchi-sensei's style as soon as I saw the manga. However, I think CLAMP (after my discovery of MKR) has influenced my style the most, both Nekoi-sensei and Mokona-sensei. I adore their work.

When didya create your first webpage? How'd you know how to make one?

LOL. Oh man, my first page was the "Rayearth Crusade!," a page dedicated to bringing MKR to the US, back in 1997. That page was horrible! I didn't know the first thing about HTML except for links, so I used an editor. I went crazy with the images. And let me tell you, I didn't know how to organize this little "crusade." ^_^;; Needless to say, it was down in a month.

What are are your sites mainly about and why that topic?

The CCS page was created after I received my first Nakayoshi in 1997. I fell in love with this cute series and swore I would translate it (but I don't now ^_^;;). The Duklyon page was created because I felt there should be a page about the most wonderful series ever created (lol). Montrose Academy was created so that TomSwan and I could put our comic, _the Jar_, out there. We plan to do more though.

Any stuff you wanna say to websurfers reading this?

Yeah! Pages are very hard to maintain when you have a busy schedule, but I definitely love doing
it! Thanks to those who have supported me over the course of my website building! ^_^

April 2000 Interview conducted by aznwolfe. Lots of thanks to Kittyhawk for agreeing to be my first test subject! ^_^
