Hecksher Museum ArtSense Seminar
I went to an art class thing at Hecksher Museum on a scholarship from the PTA or something. It was 5 days for 4.5 hours a day. It was more fun than expected. Though the teacher was a lil under par.
- Abstract Landscape-a watercolor abstract painting on regular drawing paper.
- Baby Bust-a pencil drawing of a small child's face that I did after I finished one of the projects.
- George Washington Bust-done on black paper with a white colored pencil. It's a drawing of a white marble bust that was at the museum. (this attracted scary stalker photographer's attention)
- Self Portrait-a pencil self portrait we had to do while sitting in the middle of the museum with a lil handheld mirror. I hated doing it. It looks like I have a cold.
- The Pond-one of our first projects. It's a watercolor painting of the icky pond with the deformed animals. Didn't include any of them in it though. It's supposed to be impressionist. I never follow instructions.
- Collage- even though we weren't supposed to call it a collage. I believe it was our first project. We got a piece of canvas and had to use mixed medias to display a theme. I used anime; cutting pictures out of mangas and magazines and I took a picture of princess emeraude and used it for the focus of the painting. Around her newsprint head I made multicolored (partially cause I couldn't remember the actual color) hair flowing in and out of the designs with acrylic paints.
- Paper Abstract- was actually just a project we did so we'd have something to put in the frames we made. Unfortunately...I don't think I wound my film all the way and the frame didn't show up in the picture(along with half the abstract). We cut up shiny papers (which also didn't come out in the picture) and glued them down. I did two...the other one didn't come out quite as well.
