Other Stuff
This is where all that "Other Stuff" that I didn't do in a class or in pencil goes. Have fun perusing.
The Little Polar Bear-This is a photograph of the cover of the children's book I illustrated for Chris. His psych class had to write and illustrate a story(different project than the Flipper thing). The cover is done completely in watercolor. All the photographs look horrible. I'm really sorry, one day I'll get better pics.
The Little Polar Bear-The last (and nicest) page in the book. If you can't quite make it out, it's got a girl and boy elf watching the lil polar bear sleeping. It's a really cute story. This entire book was done in water color and had printed out type glued in.
Flipper The Happiest Fish Around-This story was written by little preschoolers and a couple of Child Psych students (who apparently cannot discern a mammal from a fish). I illustrated this one through Art Honor Society. There were a couple of loopholes in the story (How the hell did Flipper get 3 kids to the ice cream store?!?!) Another one that's a scan of a horrible picture taken on an instant camera. This cover is done in marker and watercolor
The Bush-The infamous bush from "The Music Man", the first play mae and I were managers for (9th grade). This was my "baby" I painted it with a fair amount of latex, acrylic (and oopsy) tempera paints. I think the signatures on the back sum up that whole drama experience "Would someone get Rose out from behind the darn bush!" and "Next year ALL wood panels!"
Hikaru-This is a pillow I made for an independent study in Studio 1. I used canvas, acrylic paint, and thread to make and decorate it. All the black, red, and white borders were sewn in by hand. It was alot of fun and very theraputic. The subject is a character from Magic Knight Rayearth.
Harley Quinn I wore a Harley Quinn shirt Jeff got me to school one day while NAHS was painting pumpkins. Topazio loved it and had me paint it on one of them. I think Harl came out great. They were donated to the Presbyterian Church which sold them at their fair.
Diary of Anne Frank-the cover I designed for this year's drama production. I got a $25 dollar prize for my drawing, it's going to be on the front of the program, made into a poster, and the design for the cast and crew tee-shirts. It was done in pen and ink.
