"NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I'm sure there are alternative ways!! I don't wanna be sold to Club Extasy!!" cried Junji, the younger brother of Kouichi.
"I'm sorry bro. Mother's health is at stake and we have no money. No other places take us except Club Extasy....Hospital fees are very expensive...it is the only and the fastest way for us to save enough money for Mother..." said Kouichi.
"Junji-chan..Kouichi-chan...come.." a faint voice from the otherside of the room called.
"Mother, you need some rest, me and Junji will have money to send you to see the doctor soon..please Mother...please..." said Kouichi while Junji brought a glass of water to their mother.
"*cough*cough* No....I must tell you this....this secret has been kept inside of me for many years... You boys have been lovely children and I love you more than anything
else.... but....*cough*cough*...I'm not your birth-mother......" said Aki.
"What?????????? Oh my gosh...Mother is not making sense
out of herself. What to do bro??" cried Junji.
"Nonono Junji-chan...listen....I really am not your birth-mother....*cough cough*.."
"20 years ago...a rainy day I remember...I was going home after a
long day in the factory....I ran under a roof to wait for the rain to stop... and beside me I saw a large basket...I heard babies crying....I kneeled down and there I saw two babies....dressing in white cloth...both crying helplessly....yes...I still remember.. the right side was Junji..the left side was Kouichi...*cough*cough*.....then
I saw a note with a $500 bill.....the note says 'Please care for these babies with the money provided. When it is safe to come, if you bring them to ------- (address), the family will give you a generous reward."
"I don't understand what it meant by 'When it is safe to come...', but I did go to the address given... and right there and then I decided to keep you boys with me...that was NOT a safe place for babies at all.....Kouichi...can you bring my
jewelry box to me?..." said Aki.
"Y..ye.yes..Mother.." said Kouichi, who couldn't believe her ears... Junji on the other side of the bed was weeping her tears...
Aki gently turned the secret lock with the right numbers and unlocked the box... She pulled a piece of old crinkled paper and gave it to Kouichi...
"Here's the note I found when I discovered you boys...the address was written on it.. go...go find your parents...I assume they should still be alive...go....go before it is too late...I love you boys...." dropping her weak arm on the bed, Aki died peacefully with a smile on her face...
"Mother!!! Mother!!!!! Mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" cried Junji and Kouichi.
After several hours of weeping and crying, the two brothers finally calmed themselves down and Kouichi finally opened the piece of paper their Mother has given them.....
"OH...MY...GOD........................................" said Kouichi. |
