It all started when Ranma and his father Genma Saotome go on a training trip. Remember one thing though, Genma can't speak or read a word of chinese, and they are TRAINING in CHINA. While they are training Ranma knocks Genma off of a bamboo pole and Genma falls into cursed spring Jusenkyo(one of thousands), Ranma stares for a moment when all of a sudden Genma comes jumping outta the water AS A PANDA and knocks Ranma off of the pole. So, Ranma ends up falling into a cursed spring....And this spring happens to be the cursed spring of a drowned girl....and when Ranma arises from the water he notices a change....He is now a girl.
This only complicates the problems for Ranma in the future....
Then one day Soun, Akane's father, gets a letter from Genma explaining how he has a son and is coming to the Tendo Dojo. Well, when they arrive things don't go that great....when akane, Nabiki, Kasumi, and Soun first see Ranma, he is in chan(Japanese for girl)form....and Genma is a Panda.
After a long interluede Genma explains what happened to them at the cursed springs to Soun. While all of this is going on, Ranma is taking a bath....and sure enough who walks in, AKANE. As Akane is extreamly embarassed she runs out of the bathroom screaming.Then, once everyone is calm, Genma tells the entire family the story of what happened to him and Ranma....as you would have guessed everyone is mixed up....and Akane still wants to kill Ranma for "Seeing her in the Nude."
