Chapter 1: A Friend says Goodbye
The new palace of Gregminster stood tall. It had been rebuilt like
the old one. It was as wide as 2 football fields and as beautiful as any
diamond you ever saw. It had a new garden on the side of the palace that
did not float now. A graveyard had also now been erected for all of the
lives lost in the war of the two armies.
Matt, the leader of the new free world, was always by the garden or
in the cemetary. He was usually paying his respects to his fallen father,
Teo. Matt was a tall man. About six and a half feet, and had a heart of
gold. He had the face of an angel and the appearence of a warrior. He wore
a long red silk robe over his regular clothes. He wore them in memory of
all of his fallen friends.
Just then, Mike, Matt's trusted advisor, came outside the castle. He
was not just an avrage guy, but he was very powerful. He would soon be
the military stragitiest, as he was like Mathau. He had a striking
resemblence to him and was just as kind. He was about the height and age
of Mathiu, also. He approached Matt. He spoke out to him: Matt, I know you
really looked up to your father, but you can't keep ignoring your duties
to pay your respects. You might as well just hand over your rulership".
Matt looked at him. "I guess I see your point" he said. "Very well, I'll
resume my duties now".
Matt entered the emperor's chambers. The only person there was Lady
Leknaat. She turned twords him and threw off her cloak. She only had a green
silk robe on now. She walked u ot Matt to tell him something: "I can no longer
assist you" she said. "After the collapse of the palace, my sister Windy was
never found. I fear that the world may once again be in danger" she continued
"The two runes of the gate are almost as powerful as the Soul Eater, and I
must retrieve it." She went on: "Once I find it, though, I must leave your
world again. The Two runes must be returned to the realm of which they came"
With that there came a pause. She looked at Matt again who was listining very
carefully, and broke out crying and saying: "I can't watch this world anymore
or see how you turn out... You were like family to me, the way you cared and
listened to my advice, and now I shall never see how you turn out"
With that, she almost vanished, when a shadowy figure appeared at the
doorway and yelled "Wait!".....
