At the mainland end of the sea road.

Cop 1: "The west wing exploded again. ...That would be the 4th one...?"

Cop 2 (He has a scar on the right side of his face): "...I don't think so. Compared to the previous 3, this one is bigger than the rest. It's more like a gas explosion."

Cop 1: "! That's possible..... With the sun and the sky being created artificially like that in structure. Ah! Does that mean from now on will both the bombs and gas explosions will occur together!?"

Cop 2: "...It seems that way..."

Cop 1, blanching: "...Us police can't do anything now can we....."

Cop 2: "If there's an officer who can do something about this situation, he's definitely up for a promotion....."

Back in the west wing of New Heaven Tokio.

Tsukasa, lying face down: {Shit... my body feels heavy... I can't move my arms and legs..... Oh I get it, they're probably ripped off.....} She blanches at the thought. {I mean being at the scene of the explosion~~~~ Damn, what a crappy way to die..... To die here at New Heaven without knowing why the heck I'm here only to die because of the sudden appearance of a terrorist bombing. AH! A funeral! If I die then Takunii, Toshi and Sho will definitely hold a funeral! NO! That'll cost money!!! Maybe I should appear before them and tell them not to...}

She pictures herself appearing in front of her brothers as a ghost

Tsukasa:"Please don't waste your money on me~~~"

Takunii, pointing at her in anger: "What do you mean wasting money!? Don't worry about things like that!!" {You still say that even when you're dead!?}

Toshi and Sho with tears in their eyes: We won't stop this!! Even if we go further into debt we're going have a funeral for you!!" Tsukasa's ghost cowers in fear.

Tsukasa: {It won't work!! I'll just get a lecture!! Haaaa~~~ I don't want to be more of a burden on them any more than I am now~~~ Even now I've left them with the debt I've racked up because of Ryuji... I bet that he won't care if I die...}

She sees Ryuji looking indifferent as always. {That's right he probably won't shed a tear even if I die... He was like that when his father died...} A vessel pops on her forehead. {...I like this even less.} She pictures Ryuji coming out to her funeral. She sees him going on the graduation trip and enjoying himself. She sees him having fun.

[Normally when people their death coming, they remember their past but with Tsukasa, it was the reverse.]

She sees him doing an very unlikely pose for a school photo. [It's really strange. It's a photo of him and Asago with peace signs, and both of them are smiling!!]

Tsukasa: "I can't die in a place like this!!!" {Shit! You leave me out of things like that!! I won't allow that!!!} She comes looming out from underneath a piece of wall(?) that she punches out of the way.

Some girls that just happened to be nearby: "Oh my gosh she's alive!!"

Tsukasa looks around: "!? Something like this was on top of me!? No wonder why I couldn't move bakayaro!!!" She kicks it out of the way. The kid she protected looks a bit scared of her.

Akira: "Thank goodness. It looks like you're alive!"

Tsukasa: "AH!! Akira-san!?" She turns to see Akira and Tomioka on the other side of the doors she tried to bust down. The doorway is deformed and they're stuck on the other side. Tsukasa looks at Akira suspiciously. "...Why are you alive?"

Akira: "...Don't make it sound so strange..."

Tsukasa: "...But you had the bomb..."

Akira: "Oh that. I disabled it." He holds up the bomb. The display shows one second remaining.

Tomioka: "...I... forgot about Akira's baka strength." [In this case, baka doesn't mean stupid but abnormal or super]

A replay of what happened. At the last 3 seconds, he grabbed the lid of the bomb. At 2 seconds, he manages to pull the tab off. In the last second, he manages to rip the wires with his bare hands.

Tomioka: "And he did that without taking out the crossed wires..."

Tsukasa, looking seriously freaked out: ".........."

Akira: "...Don't look at me like I'm some monster or anything..."

He holds up his hand. {See? I'm human too.} His knuckles are a bit red from breaking down the door. His fingers are slightly cut from grabbing the wires bare handed.

Tsukasa: {...N? Then what was that timely explosion...? Something that bent the doorway like this and cause the ceiling to look like this...}.

The ceiling is partially cracked and sagging. "Akira-san, if you don't get out of there, the smoke will get to you..."

Akira: "The doorway's warped and it won't open. ...Tsukasa is there some life jackets or something around there?"

Tsukasa: "E? Why...?"

Akira: "With the last explosion it felt like ground gave away beneath me."

Tsukasa: "...What...? Is..." {...Could it be... Is it...} The sound of rushing water comes closer. {Isn't that what you call land subsidence-----!!?} [In geology, subsidence is the gradual sinking of landforms to a lower level as a result of earth movements, or explosions etc.]

A huge wave of water comes at them and even reaches the top of the stairs.

Tsukasa: "Waaaaaa!!! Iyaaaa!!! Water! Water! I'm going to drown!!!" With tears in her eyes, she clutches at the door frame and tries to kick the water away as if she's trying to shoo away an animal.

Akira: "Tsukasa, calm down, calm down!! Hey where's the kid!?"

Tsukasa: "Ah!" The water flows back and she sees the kid almost being taken away by the water. She grabs the kid and drags him back to the top of the stairs.

Suddenly, these compartments on the walls open and life preservers come flying out.

Somewhere else in New Heaven Tokio.

Everyone: "Boats!! And with motors too!!!"

Minutes later.

Kamo-san: "...Now wasn't that a big explosion~~~ I thought for a moment that we were going to die. Thank goodness the explosion occurred after the boats came out."

Kamo-san and Ryuji are in a motorized boat heading somewhere. They're letting the current move them.

Kamo-san: "...Asago-san will probably be angry when we get back... after she learns that she was sent back on the boat alone."

Ryuji: "....."

Ryuji had belted Asago in the stomach knocking her unconscious. He then had Bun-san take her away.

Ryuji: "...I didn't want to get her involved with personal matters..."

Kamo-san: "...That ojyosan probably won't take that as an excuse."

Ryuji: "I'll take on any complaint, if we can get out of here alive with her ."

Kamo-san: "Sandaime, we've let the current take us towards the west exit but what should we do?"

Ryuji: "Keep it on this course. Just up ahead there's an emergency set of stairs. From here we'll go up." [Ryuji has a map of the building structure, although I have no idea where he got it from.] "Soon this floor will be underwater. Even if the 2nd floor is in a sea of flames, she'll go up there to avoid the water."

Tsukasa: "Akira-san, I was just thinking... With the water level rising like this... one of the first to be engulfed in the water... will be me won't it...?" She blanches. She had passed out all of the life preservers to everyone else and none were left. On top of that, she was holding the kid's hand.

Akira, yelling: "Why did you give them all out? Why didn't you keep one for yourself? You baka! For someone that can't swim..."

Tsukasa, in tears: "But~~~~ I forgot~~~~~!!!" Out of instinct, she had whipped out all of the life preservers to those who were becoming engulfed in the waves. Picture of her as a police dog, whipping them out like Frisbees.

Tsukasa, clearly in panic: "What should I do Akira-san!? What should I do!? If the water level rises above my nose I can't breathe!!"

Akira: "Don't worry Tsukasa. There's one way that'll keep you from drowning."

Tsukasa: "...What's that?"

Akira, looking serious, but not too confident about the idea: "By treading water."

Tsukasa, panicking again, and crying and holding her head: "You can't expect me to do something as skillful like that!!!! I'm not a tea stalk! People can't swim standing erect!! Stop making fun of me at a time like this!!!" [For those who don't know what oriental tea is like, the stems of the tea leaves are also used. In Japan, they say if you have a tea stalk floating erect in your tea cup then it means good luck or something...]

Akira: "Tsukasa I'll support you!!" {So don't give up!} He extends a hand towards her as best he can.

Tsukasa turns to look at him. She notices the smoke pouring out from behind him. {The fire's spread even more since he went to go look for the bomb!!! Akira-san!! You shouldn't be worried about me!! Behind you!! Fire!!! You bakayaro---!!!} Her mouth is open and she's panicking again. She calms down a bit to think. {...Akira-san... If the water level rises that high... maybe the fire will go out.} She closes her eyes and takes his outstretched hand.

Tsukasa looks into his eyes: "...How do I tread water...?"

Suddenly below, she hears people screaming. She notices a boat coming up towards them.

Tsukasa: {E...? Ryu...ji...?} "Ryuji-------!"

People: "Kyaaaa!!!! A boat!!!" Some people take over the boat and knock Ryuji and Kamo-san out.

Tsukasa: "Ryuji!! You came here too!?" {What's this, another person I know here!?}

Ryuji: "...What are you talking about? ...You were the one that wanted to come here."

Tsukasa looks confused: "...What...?"

Ryuji comes up to her and notices that she's holding someone's hand. He looks up the arm and meets Akira's glaring face. Sparks fly between Ryuji and Akira. Ryuji takes his hand and delivers a shutoo [shutoo = literally hand sword, or karate chop] to Tsukasa's arm.

Tsukasa: "OW!!!"

Ryuji: "Come here a second." He drags her away from the door.

Tsukasa: "What!!?" Behind her, Akira looks really pissed.

Ryuji: "...Why are you with the cop?"

Tsukasa: "...U...Um I'm not sure either but it seems like he saved me when I fell into the pool..."

Ryuji, not looking pleased tries to kiss her. [Tsukasa doesn't know it though.]

Tsukasa: "Waaaaa!! What's your prob!!!?"

Ryuji: "...You're back to normal..." {With that mode of speech...}

Tsukasa: "Ha?"

Kamo-san: "I'm glad to hear that."

Ryuji: "Humph!" He turns away. {This is no fun.}

The water level starts rising all of the sudden.

Tsukasa: {Here it comes~~~~!!} She puts the kid on Ryuji's shoulders. {Time for me to put my life into becoming a tea stalk!!!} She pictures herself as a tea stalk floating erect.

Back on the mainland.

Bun-san: "...Ah! Look Asago ojyosan, a tea stalk."

Asago turns evil eyes towards him: "...SO!!?"

Bun-san: "...Oh, just that if you have a tea stalk floating erect then it means good luck. So you don't have to worry about Sandaime..."

Asago: "I'M NOT WORRIED ABOUT THAT!!!" {Of course he'll come back.!!}

Bun-san, sipping his tea: {...It's always like this... I hate dealing with kids...}

Police chief: "The emergency boats made it here?"

Cop 3: "Chief!?"

Chief: "Is that all of them?"

Cop 3: "Actually according to those that were there, there was a little accident during the evacuation process. There still seems to be people inside there."

Chief: "What!? You're saying you just abandoned them!?"

Cop 3, matter-of-factly: "Well there's no reason to waste your life on a small group of unlucky people~~~~" He stops all of the sudden.

The chief stares at him: "...I bet that if you were there on New Heaven you'd forget your job and be one of the first to escape. I swear there are only officers like you lately." He turns to walk away.

Cop 3: "Chief! I didn't mean that truly." {Ahhh, why was I honest at a time like this!?}

Chief: "If you have time to make excuses then do your work! There's a possibility that the terrorist bomber is among these people! Check everyone here! Whatever you do, don't let anyone off of this port!! And hurry up and get the rescue team out there!!"

Cop 3: "The boat's just left~~~"

Back at New Heaven Tokio.

Tsukasa: "Nice like a tea stalk." Glub! Splash!! "Just like a tea stalk!" The other people give her strange looks. Even Akira can't say anything. (-_-;) Glub! Splash!! "I can do this." Glub! Splash!! "Today, I'm like a tea stalk." Glub, splash!!!

She comes up for a breath. "I can't do this~~~~~!!!" She starts dog paddling furiously. {I'm going to drown, I'm going to drown!!} She has the muzzle and tail of a dog.

Ryuji: "Bakayaro! Move your arms and legs like I told you!" {You're not going to last long like that.}

Kamo-san looks on: {That looks hard...} (-_-;)

Akira: "You can't expect teaching the theory behind swimming will produce a swimmer."

Ryuji, glaring back at Akira: "...You're a complete stranger. Mind your own business." Splash splash!!!

Akira: "...Aren't you a stranger as well....."

Ryuji: "I'm living with her."

Akira: "What!?" Splash, splash!

Ryuji: "Cause she's my woman."

Akira: "Don't lie! She even said herself that you were only a friend to her! You are a yakuza afterall, lying and trying to make everything go your way like that!"

Guy 1: {...It doesn't seem like we're in a life or death situation here.......}

Ryuji: "Ha! I'm sure you abuse your authority and live off of that. Pretending you're good like that you're more like a unmanageable yakuza."

Akira: "Don't make us look like you guys who feed on weak and the poor!"

Tomioka: "Hey... Akira..."

Akira: "Having a yakuza guy like you around her is troublesome! Get out of her sight!!"

Ryuji: "You've got to be kidding! Why the hell do I have to take orders from you? On top of that, why do I have to labelled as troublesome by you!!?"

Akira: "There's plenty of reasoning behind that!!"

Some of the observers of the conversation think among themselves.

Girl 1: "...Should this be a time..."

Girl 2: "To unfold a heated love triangle like this..."

Girl 3: "And on top of that..."

Akira, looking serious: "Ore wa Tsukasa ga sukida!! So I can't have you making her unhappy like that!!" [Ore wa Tsukasa ga sukida = I like/love Tsukasa.]

Ryuji looks a bit surprised. [But only a bit]

Everyone: {Although the argument is getting even more heated... she's not even listening.....} Everyone is looking at Tsukasa in astonishment. Tsukasa is still furiously trying to dog paddle, and splashing water everywhere. Ryuji and Akira are glaring at each other from opposite sides of the door. Even Kamo-san is looking at Tsukasa in dismay.

Tsukasa stops thrashing about all of the sudden, and goes straight down.

Ryuji: "!!"

???: "Tsukasa!!" Arms pull her back to the surface. Akira has her right arm while Ryuji has her left.

Akira: "!!"

Ryuji: "!! ...Let go."

Akira: "...No."

Ryuji: "Let go!!"

Akira: "No!!"

Ryuji: "I can save Tsukasa without your help!"

Akira: "Liar!! If I leave you to Tsukasa you'll get her killed! I'll protect her!"

Ryuji: "What!!?"

Tsukasa looks confused and is looking back and forth like she's watching a tennis game.

"...Umm... Excuse us..."

Everyone turns around to see several men in wetsuits.

"We want to do an emergency rescue..... May we proceed..."

Back on the mainland.

Announcement: "Please obtain a card when you get off the ship---"

Cop 4 is talking to the chief.

Chief: "...What? There was someone who was left at New Heaven who saw the terrorist bomber's face!?"

Cop 4: "Yes. I've just heard it from the rescue squad..."

Chief: "...And what does he look like!?"

Cop 4: "It seems we're looking for a young man about 170 cm tall wearing a white T-shirt, half jeans and a blue cap."

Chief, looking progressively more irritated with each frame: "How many of those men do you think are here!!?"

Cop 4: "Don't get mad at me sir..."

The bomber who just happens to be there overhears this conversation. He is not however wearing the T-shirt or the cap. He laughs to himself.
