YUKIHIRO

Yukihiro was born on November 24 (one day after my birthday ^_^;) 1968. In 1989, he joined ZI:KILL as the drummer and also major debuted in the same year. After he finished the album "DESERT TOWN" in 1990 with ZI:KILL, he quitted. In 1991, he joined DIE IN CRIES. He had his first live in Nippon Budoukan (a very famous place for rock band concerts. In the J-music scene, being able to perform in Nippon Budoukan is a great honor and is a giant step to success. ex: Kami of Malice Mizer cried after they performed there ^^) with DIE IN CRIES. In 1995, D.I.C disbanded. In the same year's August, he had his first solo live in Shinjuku Power Station. From then on, he had worked with Iijima Naoko, NAOKI and quite a few other artists as their drummer.

In 1997, he participated in the recording of "NIJI" for L'Arc~en~Ciel. He also performed in Laruku's Tokyo Dome Live as support drummer. Finally in Jan 1, 98 - he became the official member of L'Arc~en~Ciel.

Let's take a look at what other members say about Yukihiro ^_^:
Hyde: "He is a very cool guy!! As we've spent more days together, I've discovered lots of interesting things about him! I've known him for 3~4 years now. The first time I met him was in Danger Crue - he was in ZI:KILL back then."
Tetsu: "He better go to the dentist..NOW!! Otherwise...if during live, his toothache....^^;;; (laughs)"
Ken: "We have the same horoscope (Sagittarius) and I always check for our "luck". However, seems like his luck is always different from mine! (laughs)"

During the summer of 1997, Yukihiro, Tetsu and Ken went together to Hong Kong to play! (Hyde went to Hawaii with his parents ^_^) They saw the handover of Hong Kong together too! It was during that time that Tetsu composed "Dive To Blue" (he saw the 'n' number of skyscrapers in Hong Kong and got the idea..^^). The alternate title of "Dive To Blue " is "Ah! Hong Kong!" ^^;; And of course, they formed the "Hong Kong Hand Craps (L: I think it should be "Claps" ^^;;)" during that time too! ^_^;

Yukihiro: "Everyone in L'Arc~en~Ciel has been very very kind to me and we've became very good friends. We've developed lots of interests together like Yo-Yo, Radio control cars, In-line skating...etc..and we always have fun together!"
