The moonlight glittered coldly off the calm midnight tide as it slowly crept in. A lanky figure sat on the prom with long legs dangling over the edge and long black wavy hair floating in the breeze. A pair of intensely bright, emerald green eyes stared out at the sea from underneath the long scraggly fringe.

Heaven hurried down the deserted street. She was worried. It was only twenty past one in the morning and there wasn't a soul in sight. And she'd been wandering around for nearly an hour. The fact that a full moon was radiating it's cool beauty across the dark shy didn't help either. One minute she was scuttling down a deserted alley the next she found herself standing on a prom overlooking a beach and a not far away a dark figure was poised delicately on the edge of the prom.
The figure turned, revealing burning, green eyes which seemed to Heaven to sear straight through her. As quick and agile as a cat, the figure suddenly leapt to it's feet, sending lusicious black hair whipping out around him.
"Don't you reliase what time it is?" the figure spoke with the most beautiful and melodius voice that Heaven had ever heard.
"It's about half one isn't it?"
"Yes it is. Don't you know there's a midnight curfew in this area?"
"No I'm new to this area." Heaven paused for a moment, "Why IS there a curfew?"
"Anyone who is out this late is obviously up to no good. The WFP have imposed this curfew in an attempt to rid this area of crime."
	"WFP?"
"WorldWide Fedral Police. We are even more elite, more hi-tech and more highly trained than the Cyber Police."
	"I've never heard of you."
"Most ordinary civilians haven't, even the civvy police don't know of our existance. Well that's the way it's supposed to be." the tall figure smiled and ran a delicate hand through his hair. Heaven gazed at the beautiful heart shaped jewelswhich twisted round his left hand.
	"Supposed to be?"
"Yeah but everyone knows that if you see a savage animal roaming the streets it's bound to be a member of the 'Secret Police'."
"I'll leave it at that." laughed Heaven turning to watch the sea. Quite without warning her expression grew seriousas she spoke again, "How do I know you're telling the truth?"
"What would I achieve by lying?" was the cool response.
"Well for all I know you could be a rapist or something just as nasty?" explained Heaven.
"If I was a rapist and out on the streets at this time of night I would most probably be dead."
	"Dead?" asked Heaven intriged.
"That's the punishment for all those found out on the streets after twelve o'clock midnight." replied the WFP offical, "After all 'we' are specially picked for our unique abilities."
Heaven glanced at the full moon worriedly, she had a uneasy feeling that something was not quite right with the stranger. And when Heaven got that sneaky feeling she was usually right.
"Have you got a home to go to?" asked the stranger, "Because if you have I advise you to go to it right now?"
	"Why?"
"Because it is my duty to kill you." hissed the tall stranger through clenched teeth.
"Would you kill a homeless person?" asked Heaven suddenly saddened.
"Only if they were scum!" the stranger spoke with venom and violently pushed his scraggly fringe out of his face before continuing in a calmer tone, "You are wondering what I do to those innocents I find wandering the streets, aren't you?"
	"Heaven nodded slightly.
"Well I usually offer them sanctionary until they can find somewhere else to go."
	"Is that an invitation?"
"It is if you've got no where else to go."
"Thank you." was Heaven's grateful reply, "But I don't know your name."
"I am known as Damian. Nothing more, nothing else."

Heaven awoke with her arms wrapped around something soft and furry. Strange, she vagely remembered dozing off with her hands entwined in Damian's long silky hair but his was not Damian's hair. She jolted upright and shakily whispered,
	"Lights."
Whipping around to face the soft furry thing she'd been lying next to. A small gasp escaped her as she stared at the lean body stretched out across the bed. The lean body of a wolf.
*But where has Damian got-* then she noticed. Around the wolf's front left paw, delicately wrapped in that special way, were, the same beautiful red and glod precious stones nthat Damian wore.
*What was that Damian said about being picked for his special abilities-Ulp!* Heaven knew now there was no mistaking the fact; Damian was a werewolf.
Suddenly without warning, the silver and black haired beast leapt to it's feet and a gentle voice spoke,
	"Don't be afraid."
Heaven mentally recoiled from the voice, it seemed to be coming from the wolf but he had not moved, just standing motionless staring at her with those green, green eyes.
"Why do you fear me? I will not hurt you." came the voice that was clear and beautiful as a starry night. The wolf cocked his head and stared at Heaven mournfully. Then it clicked, the voice sounded vagely like Damian's human voice only clearer, more melodius, more beautiful. More Damian.
	He was communicating by telepathy.

Benten sat fiddling with a long strand of hair, he was feeling just a LITTLE bit nervous which was very unusual for him. He reminded himself that he had a very good reason to be slightly nervous and it didn't hurt to show just a LITTLE bit of emotion every now and then.
He fiddled with his hair for a few minutes more and then beganbegan pacing across the room. He glanced round nervously, he didn't want ANYONE to catch him in this frame of mind.
*Calm down you silly bastard* he scolded himself mentally. *This one is perfectly sweet and completely sane.*
That's what Damian had said about his last 'guest' who had turned out to be a perfectly pyschotic bitch and completely insane.' Knife-wielding charges at his naked body, normally he wouldn't have minded, in fact he would have quite enjoyed it except for one small fact; he'd been hand-cuffed to at least 3 different corpses (whom SHE had killed -honest!) without a hope in hell of avoiding the blows which had been aimed at a certain part of his anatomy. It was lucky for him that Damian had 'popped' in to check on his guest. Of course seeing a slightly bloodied and mangled Benten all trussed up had, seemly, drove Damian over the edge. He had dragged the offensive little bitch outside and had quite literally ripped her apart. (It was later found out that Damian was more upset over the state of his carpet than the state Benten was in. (Or so he said.))
Every muscle in Benten's body tensed as the door slid effortlessly open (lousey electronic doors! Why did HIS never work properly? Everyone else's did). Damian stalked through followed by a small figure swarthed in masses of cloaks, two long, thick plaits, intertwined with each other that ran down her back and an extremely fluffy excuse for a fringe. She had a sweet face and innocent green eyes despite the large amount of black eye make-up that she wore.
"Good evening." said Benten polietly. Damian glared at him for a brief second before introducing his latest guest.
"Benten I would like you to meet Heaven."
Heaven held out her hand to him as if she expected it to be kissed. Benten ignored it and turned his attention back to Damian.
"I thought you said that you were going to stop taking homeless people after what happened last time?
	Damian scowled and didn't reply.
"What happened last time?" asked Heaven, her curiousty aroused.
	"Oh well you see Ben-"
	"Damian I thought we agreed-"
	"WE didn't, you threatened-"
"We agreed." said Benten sternly, "We will finish this conversation later. Alone." and with that he stalked off with his head held high.
"What an aloof bastard he is." complained Damian, "Heaven I'm awfully sorry about him but he's been rather upset lately and he will NOT talk about it." he sighed at looked at Heaven with wide eyes, a pathetic attempt at looking innocent.
"You don't have to be sorry, you haven't done anything wrong. Can you tell me any of what happened last time you took someone in?"
"Not really but as you can obviously tell, Benten is still rather shaken by the whole experience." he paused briefly, "The thing is he's so shocked at HIMSELF for actually having been mildly affected by what happened it's making him act like a-a-" words failed Damian.
"I think I get the point." laughed Heaven, "Come on, let's go meet the rest of them!"
Later they were walking along a rather busy corridor after a brief encounter with a seriously pissed Sengoku when Damianb suddenly stopped and howled,
	"Crazier than usual!"
	"Come again?"
"Crazier than usual!!" cried Damian with mounting hysteria. People wre turning around to gape and glare at him but he was past caring. He continued to screech until Heaven interrupted,
"Damian calm down and explain yourself. Slowly."
Damian took several long, deep breathes before explainung himself.
"Benten is acting crazier than usual!"
"Excuse- oh! I get it!" said Heaven, then she screeched, "What d'yer mean 'crazier than usual'?"
"Oh he's madder than a March Hare." was the reply. Heaven gaped at Damian, was this guy telling the truth?" Was the deluctably gorgeous bishonen a raving lunatic? He just had to be kidding. Hadn't he?
	"You mean he's a-"
	"Psycho. Yeah."
"Oh so he's an insane psychopath now?"
	"Yeah a reformed one."
"Is that supposed to make me feel better?" demanded Heaven.
Damian smiled wanly and ignored the question. Turning slightly he headed towards the door and was knocked flat on his backside by a wild mop of fluorestant pink hair.
	"Shukumaru you- !"
"Hi" shrilled the wild mop of hair. Damian whipped his hair out of his face with astounding violence and surged to his feet, grabbing the pink-haired creature by it's throat in the process.
"Why I ought to- !" roared Damian, tightening his grip.
"I'm sor- I'm sorry!" whinged Shukumaru, struggling patheticly. Heaven suddenly found herself feeling sorry for the extremely lanky pink-haired that was currently being strangled by the unruffled Damian.
"Oh cut it out you two! Damian leave the poor little bishonen alone."
Damian glanced across at her sharply, his brilliant green eyes alive with a furious rage.
"Look Damian the poor boy is terrified of you and anyone can see he's obviously see he's very, very sorry. Aren't you Shukumaru?"
	Shukumaru nodded his agreement frantically.
Damian sighed and let go of his pinked-haired victim. Shukumaru fingered his neck gingerly and watched with wide eyes as his volatile attacker moved off.
"Lets go and find Gogul Heaven, you haven't met him yet."
Shukumaru gazed at Heaven adorably; he was obviously VERY attracted to her. Damian frowned inwardly, he did not want to hang round yacking to the pink-haired nusiance all day.
