A dark figure loomed in the shadows of the night, getting closer and closer to a young girl, with long auburn hair, framing a pretty face and beautiful emerald green eyes. She had her back facing the dark figure, not knowing about the danger that lurks behind her.
Fear was written all over her face as she glanced nervously around the dark room. She froze in her spot, when she felt a heavy breathing from behind. She squeezed her eyelids shut, afraid of what might meet her gaze but she gathered every ounce of courage she had and slowly turned around with her eyes shut tight. Slowly, she opened her eyes and took a step back at what she saw. Standing before her, was a dark figure cladded in black and he held a sword over his head ready to bring it down with full force on her. With that, she let out a high pitched scream as the sword started to come down on her when...
"That's enough for today class. We will continue our rehearsal of the play tomorrow. You may go home now." Mr. Terada said with clear satisfaction at the progress of the class. He glanced at the class, smiling warmly at them as they bustled around trying to get ready for a play they were doing for the Christmas Festival. Throughout the years, Mr. Terada had stayed with his class from elementary to high school. He was proud to see that all of them had made a good progress in both studies and personal development.
Kinomoto Sakura got off the stage and grabbed her backpack after Mr. Terada had dismissed them. As she picked her backpack from one of the seats facing the stage, a girl with a video camera came running up to her.
"Hi Tomoyo-chan!" Sakura said as she greeted her best friend with a sweet smile.
"Hi Sakura-chan! You were so kawaii on stage desu wa! And I got it all on tape!" Tomoyo exclaimed all starry eyed.
Sakura sweatdropped as she watched Tomoyo gush on how she would make the costumes look absolutely perfect on Sakura for the play. Tomoyo had immediately volunteered to make all the costumes for the play as soon as Mr. Terada had asked for volunteers.
'Tomoyo-chan will never change.' Sakura smiled at the thought.
"Come on, Tomoyo-chan. Let's go home." She said as she dragged Tomoyo through the doors.
As they walked down the street, Sakura admired how beautiful the snow was against the scenery. Tiny snowflakes came falling down gently from the azure sky and fell lightly on the ground. Sakura began thinking about someone she knew in Hong Kong while Tomoyo talked about how exciting the festival will be but Sakura's mind was else where as she absent mindedly fiddled with a necklace that she always wore. She look down at it smiled sadly as she remembered the time when Syaoran left.

She ran quickly through the airport, scanning the crowd for him. Then she spotted an 11 year old boy with brown hair and warm amber eyes. He was looking out a window, staring into space. Sakura ran toward calling out his name.
"Syaoran-kun! Syaoran-kun!" Sakura called out as he turned around and gazed at her sadly.
"Ummm... Sa... Sakura-chan... I want you to have this..." Syaoran shoved a small green velvet box into her and looked away.
Sakura smiled at him and opened the box to reveal a pretty pink diamond shaped like a cherry blossom with emeralds shaped like leaves around the flower on a silver chain. Tears of joy and sadness gathered at the corner of her eyes. She glanced at Syaoran who was shuffling his foot on the floor. She flung her arms around a bewildered and very red Syaoran and whispered.
"Arigato Syaoran-kun."
"Flight MA146 for Hong Kong is ready and is taking off in 15 minutes. Passengers of flight please proceed to Gate-35."
"Sakura, I have to go now..." Syaoran said with his head down.
"Will you come back?"
"I promise I'll come back one day." Syaoran replied as Sakura extended her pinky and he hooked his pinky around hers.
Then Syaoran picked up his baggage and left to board the plane. Sakura watched sadly as he walked away. She waved goodbye to him and silently wished that he wouldn't have to leave.

"Sakura-chan? Sakura-chan? SAKURA-CHAN!" Tomoyo yelled, causing Sakura to snap out of her reverie.
"N... Nani, Tomoyo-chan?"
"I was asking you whether you were going with anyone to the festival for the last 3 minutes."
"Gomen nasai, Tomoyo-chan. I didn't mean to ignore you. I was just thinking about something."
"Were you thinking about something or someone?" Tomoyo replied with a grin on her face.
"Tomoyo-chan!" Sakura protested as she tried to hide her blush. Tomoyo just giggled as she thought on how cute Sakura looked.
"You were thinking about him again, weren't you?" Tomoyo asked with a sly grin.
Sakura blushed and nodded solemnly. "Hai... Tomoyo-chan. I guess I just miss the times we were all together."
"Don't worry, Sakura-chan. He'll come back someday, he promised didn't he?" Tomoyo reassured her.
"Hai but its been 6 years, Tomoyo-chan. I wonder if he still remembers."
"I'm sure he does, Sakura-chan, besides who could forget Sakura-chan! You're so kawaii desu wa!" Tomoyo exclaimed. Sakura just sweatdropped.
As they came down to a junction, they went their separate ways to get home.
"Ja ne, Tomoyo-chan!"
"Ja, Sakura-chan!"
As Sakura walked down the cold street, thinking about her card captor days. She missed those days. 'Who am I kidding? I miss Syaoran-kun.' She thought as she walked into her house.
"I'm home! Otousan! Onichan!" She said as she walked in.
"Welcome home, Sakura-chan." Her father's head poked out of the kitchen door.
"Great, the kaijuu is home. No wonder it's so noisy in here." Touya exclaimed as he stood in the hallway.
"I'm not a monster!!" Sakura yelled as she stomped on Touya's foot. Then she dashed upstairs, grinning as she went.
"That kaijuu is getting noisier everyday." Touya joked as he held his hurt foot.
"I heard that!" Sakura yelled.
Fujitaka just shook his head and smiled at his children. Then he went back to cooking dinner for the family.
"Hi Kero-chan!" Sakura greeted as she collapsed on the bed and buried her face in her pillow.
A small creature emerged from a drawer and glanced at her. Then it flew over to her side and sat on the bed beside her.
"Sakura-chan, what did you do today?" Kero asked.
"I'm acting one of the leading roles in a play for the Christmas Festival." came Sakura's muffled reply.
"You don't seem excited. Is something wrong?" Kero questioned.
"Iie, it's just that I miss the old days."
"Okay, Sakura-chan." Kero answered.
"Sakura! Dinner's ready!"
"Coming! Don't worry Kero-chan. I'll bring up some chocolate pudding later." Sakura smiled. She heard Kero cheering in her room as she ran downstairs.
"Yay! Chocolate pudding!" Kero cheered. As soon as Sakura was out of earshot, Kero sighed sadly.
"She still misses that gaki after so long even if she won't admit it. Hope he returns soon like he promised her, even if I don't like him a bit."
