Setsuna Minaka was lying in bed for sometime now. She tossed and turned but finally gave up in exasperation. She hated having sleepless nights and this is one of the worst.
"I can't sleep!" Minaka muttered incoherently. She was frustrated because she had been lying awake in bed for an hour now and she still couldn't sleep a wink. There was a thought nagging in the back of her head.
'You better be careful. Tomorrow will be bring plenty of dangers and you know it!' It warned her.
"I know... Oh great!" Minaka's muffled groan was heard from under her pillow. "Now I'm talking to myself!"

Finally! Play opening day! Backstage…
"Minaka-chan! What happened to you?!" Sakura and Tomoyo asked in shock. Minaka's eyes looked really weary and tired and she could hardly stay awake.
"Huh? Ohhh... Nothing. I just had trouble sleeping last night." She muttered, waving it off as she stifled a yawn. Syaoran looked at his cousin worriedly and walked up to her.
"You should go back home and rest then." He suggested and Sakura and Tomoyo nodded in agreement.
"Iie! I have to watch you on stage. Besides I'm not tired at all!" Minaka said indignantly and did her best to stay wide-awake. Sakura and Syaoran sighed simultaneously, then they glanced at each other and blushed. Tomoyo giggled and got out her video camera. Calvin watched in jealousy and clenched his fist.
'Sakura will be mine today, little wolf!'
Minaka snapped her head up and glanced around. 'I know I heard that thought, but from where?' She closed her eyes and thought.
'Sakura... Syaoran... Be careful...' Sakura and Syaoran both heard her voice and glanced at each other.
"Did you hear that?" Sakura asked with a worried expression. Syaoran nodded in agreement.
"It's Minaka. She's warning us to be careful." Syaoran replied and Sakura's eyes widened in shock.
"How did she do that?"
"I have no idea." Syaoran answered as he shrugged his shoulders. Then Mr. Terada called everyone to get ready for the play. Tomoyo ran up to them and handed everyone, who was acting in the play, each a box. Sakura and Syaoran froze when they received the boxes, which contained their costumes. Minaka saw the look on their faces and giggled.
"Don't worry! It's not that bad!" Minaka said with reassuring smile. Sakura and Syaoran drew in a deep breath then they opened the boxes at the same time.
"It's lovely!" Sakura gasped as she stared at the dress. It was a pink dress of silk, which ran down right below her knee. A long red ribbon was used to tie into a bow around the waist and it was so long, it rolled to the floor. There was a beautiful embroidery of blossoming pink peonies at the bottom of the dress.
Syaoran just stared incredulously at his costume. It consisted of a red coat and white trousers. In the box was also a gold belt that carried a sword. It was a western style sword with a gold hilt. It was so well made it looked like a real sword.
"Why peonies?" Sakura asked Tomoyo, who just grinned.
"Minaka-chan helped with that! Isn't it kawaii?" Tomoyo gushed. Sakura narrowed her eyes at Tomoyo.
"Both of you did that because it's his favorite flower, am I right?" Sakura accused. Tomoyo just glanced over at Minaka and sweatdropped. Minaka had fallen asleep in a chair with her head resting in the crook of her arm. Then Tomoyo turned back to Sakura and grinned sheepishly.
"We thought that it will look good on you. Besides your family and Yukito-san is coming to watch you too!" She finally answered. Sakura just sighed and went to put on her costume. Syaoran was still standing there staring at the costume in his grasps. Tomoyo walked up to him and ushered him to get ready since the play would start in half an hour. Everyone just left Minaka to rest peacefully in her chair. She was startled awake when she heard a squeal moments later.
"Sugoi! You two look absolutely kawaii desu wa!" Tomoyo said excitedly with video camera in hand. Everyone just sweatdropped. Minaka got up quickly to take a good look at what Tomoyo was so excited about.
Minaka grinned at what she saw. Standing in front of Tomoyo were a blushing couple, obviously embarrassed from all the attention. Minaka giggled as she watched them running around, trying to find a good hiding place to get away from Tomoyo and her video camera.

Play is starting!
Note: I will be telling the play like a story. I'll state the cast. If this play sounded like I took the idea from someone, well I didn't. ^^ This story just popped into my head.
Sakura --- Princess
Syaoran --- Gentleman (?)
Calvin --- Mysterious man (?)
Naoko, Rika, Chiharu... (Do you care?) --- Supporting cast
This story starts with two countries that never got along. The reason for their rivalry was unknown. They were enemies for years now, fighting for no apparent reason.
One day, a masquerade ball was held in a neighboring country and everyone was invited. The princess from one of the countries went reluctantly after being urged by her family and friends to go.
At the party, she only talked with her friends and refused to dance with anyone. After much persuasion, the princess walked onto the dance and glanced around nervously for she had never danced with strangers before. At the same time a young gentleman emerged from the crowd, looking just as nervous as she was. Then his gaze fell on the princess and he walked up to her bowed. He politely asked her to dance and the princess readily agreed. They danced gracefully through the night and talked about their problems. They couldn't tell each other who they were till midnight for the revealing of identities.
When midnight came, the princess's heart broke. The gentleman she danced with was none other than the prince from the other country that never got along with hers. She was so despaired, she ran out of the place to be alone and dwell on her thoughts. The prince followed her, knowing her sadness as he felt his own heart had sunk. He found her weeping alone in the garden and walked up to her. The prince embraced her and told her something that made her heart skip a beat. He had told her that he loved her even if no one approved of it. The princess looked up at him and whispered the reply that he wanted to hear.
Syaoran and Sakura were blushing slightly. Some of the audience starts crying but Touya looked like he would climb onto the stage and kill Syaoran at any moment. Luckily, Fujitaka and Yukito were there to calm him down. Tomoyo had brought a bag with Kero in it and she was video taping everything in glee. Kero hides his grinning face in the bag and decided to take a nap.
Suddenly, a dark figure cladded in black, loomed in the shadows of the night, getting closer and closer to the couple. They had their backs facing the dark figure, not knowing about the danger that lurks behind them.
They froze in their spots, when they felt a heavy breathing from behind. The princess squeezed her eyelids shut, afraid of what might meet her gaze but she felt a reassuring hand around hers and immediately felt safe. The dark figure emerged from the darkness, sword in hand, ready to bring it down on them, when...
"Syaoran! Sakura! Watch out!" A voice in their heads yelled. Swiftly, Syaoran grabbed Sakura by the waist and jumped aside as a sword came crashing down and into the floor.
"What happened?" Sakura gasped when she saw that everyone had fallen to the ground in a deep sleep except for Syaoran, herself and the dark figure on the stage.
"They're just sleeping for now. Come with me, Sakura." The dark figure urged and raised a hand toward Sakura. Syaoran instinctively stood in front of Sakura protectively and glared at the dark figure.
"She is not going anywhere with you. Who are you?" Syaoran growled. The dark figure just snickered evilly and took a step forward.
"I'd thought you would have figure it out by now. I'm a magician like yourself." And the figure stepped out of the shadows to reveal...
"Calvin-kun!" Sakura gasped and she clutched tightly onto Syaoran's wrist. Syaoran took out his sword and stood in a battle stance. Sakura felt around the chain on her neck. It was the necklace that Syaoran had given to her before he left for Hong Kong. She had slid her key into the chain in case she might ever need it again. She was glad she still carried it around. Sakura turned the key into her wand and remembered something important.
'I didn't bring any cards!' She panicked then she noticed something in her pocket and reluctantly pulled it out. Sakura was surprised to find her cards, conveniently placed in her pocket. Strangely, she knew who placed them in there.
'Arigato, Minaka-chan!' Then she turned her attention toward Calvin.
"Sakura, come with me. We can be together forever." Calvin said with a smirk. Sakura stared at him and stood next to Syaoran.
"Iie! I don't want to be with you forever! I want to be with..." Sakura trailed off blushing slightly. Calvin was enraged by her answer.
"If I can't have you, no one else will!" He yelled and started charging toward them with his sword, ready to slash at them. Syaoran and Sakura dodged him swiftly and began attacking. Syaoran threw a blow at Calvin with his sword and started dodging and attacking simultaneously. Calvin fought hard as well, each blow seemed more deadly than the last. Unfortunately, Syaoran didn't dodge a blow quick enough and felt a sword slash at his arm. He cried in pain and gripped his arm. Blood was oozing out from the large gash on his arm and he bit his lower lip. Calvin was prepared to give him the final blow.
Sakura watched in horror as Calvin raised his sword above his head, ready to bring it down on Syaoran. Sakura drew out her cards and called out Firey. Firey came out of the card and sent a blast of flames at Calvin. Syaoran seized the chance and chanted a lightning spell, a bolt of lightning struck Calvin and temporarily knocking him out.
Syaoran panted and fell to his knees, completely exhausted. He winced as he felt pain creep up his arm. Sakura immediately ran up to him and looked at his arm. She took her handkerchief and gently tied it around the wound, doing her best to stop the bleeding. Syaoran just smiled at her gratefully. Sakura noticed his gaze on her and stared into his intense amber eyes that seemed to draw her closer to him.
They were so busy gazing into each other's eyes, they didn't notice that Calvin had regain consciousness and staggered up. He crept up from behind with his sword and was about to attack them when something struck him from behind and he fell to the floor.
Sakura and Syaoran snapped back into reality when they heard a loud thud behind them. Their eyes widened when they found Calvin on the floor, dead with a sword thrust through him. They were even more shock to find the person, who had helped them was a smiling Minaka.
"Minaka?!" Syaoran choked. Minaka just grinned at him and winked.
"You just couldn't imagine me using swords and casting spells now, do you?"
