Longings: Epilogue

After much explaining, everyone at the play didn't remember anything. Though they couldn't explain the disappearance of Calvin, conveniently Minaka told Sakura to use the Erase card on Calvin and made excuses that he had to return to America. So nobody knew about it except for the three of them. Well, maybe four... apparently Minaka got everything on tape when Tomoyo was asleep and Tomoyo was extremely pleased.

Christmas Day! At the park...
Li Syaoran sat on the swing waiting for someone. He clutched a nicely wrapped box close to him. The snow had made eveything a beautiful pure white. Syaoran's hand gently touched a small velvet box in his pocket. He smiled as he stared at the cloudy sky.
****************************
"Here. This is my Christmas present for you and Sakura." Minaka said with a warm smile as she shoved a small pink velvet box into Syaoran's hands.
"Nani?" Syaoran asked as he eyed the box in his hands.
"I'm sure you know what to do with it. Open it with Sakura." She replied calmly. Then Minaka added. "Besides your family will be happy when they hear the news."
"Minaka!" Syaoran yelled with a flushed face.

"Syaoran-kun?" A sweet voice called. Syaoran snapped out of his reverie and looked into a pair of emerald green pools.
"Hai, Sakura." She sat in the swing next to him, hoping he liked her gift.
"I wanted to give this to you." Sakura said smiling as she handed a box to Syaoran. As their hands brushed, they blushed slightly.
"May I open it?" Syaoran asked and Sakura nodded in agreement. He slowly removed the green ribbon that was tied onto it and lifted the lid of the box. Inside was a pink teddy bear with angel white wings. Syaoran smiled and then he handed Sakura a present.
"I was hoping you'd like this. Open it." Sakura opened her present carefully and was surprised to find a green teddy bear sitting in the box with a pink bow tied around the neck. She picked it up gently and hugged it close.
"Can I call it *Syaoran*?" Sakura asked sweetly.
"Not if I can call mine, *Sakura*." Syaoran replied with a small grin. Then he remembered the little box at the bottom of his pocket and nervously pulled it out.
"What's that?" Sakura questioned as she glanced at the little box.
"Minaka gave this to me and told me to open it with you." Syaoran answered nervously. Together, they opened the box and were greeted with a big surprise.
The surprise was two golden rings with words engraved on them. One had Sakura's full name on it and little cherry blossoms on each side. The other had Syaoran's full name on it too, only it had wolfs on each side. There was also a note in the box. It said:
"Wear the ring with your loved one's name on it and may you two be as one forever.
-Setsuna Minaka"
Both of them smiled at the note. Syaoran slipped the ring with his name on Sakura' finger and Sakura did the same.
"Aishiteru, Sakura."
"Aishiteru, Syaoran."
They gazed into each other's eyes lovingly and slowly leaned forward. Their lips met in a kiss and they felt content just being in each other's arms. The wind lightly blew little bits of snow around them, they hoped that this moment would never end.

In the distance...
"That was so kawaii desu wa!" Tomoyo squealed.
"Hai! Tomoyo-chan, don't forget to give me three copies of those tapes!" Minaka reminded as they hid behind some bushes near the couple.
"Why so many?"
"One for me, Eriol and Syaoran's family! Won't they just love these tapes?"
