The Scavenger Hunt

"I don't see why I have to do this? This is stupid." Wufei complained as Jeden handed out pieces of paper to everyone.

"Look if you don't want to participate." Anubis' pilot began. "Then you can sit here at the Martian base being bored silly."

"Oi, Jeden." Duo called raising his hand and waving it wildly. "Do we get to do this in teams or by ourselves?"

"In teams."

"How do you plan to pick the teams?" asked Veir pushing his specticles back up onto the bridge of his nose.

"Oh, that's easy. SAN!" San produced from his pocket ten small slips of paper with five different colored dots on them. He folded them in half and borrowing Duo's black baseball cap, dumped them in. "We'll be in teams of two, unless Wufei doesn't want to participate..."

"Fine, I'll join your pathetic game. Just to get out of this subterrnean hell."

"You'll have eight hours to collect the items on the list. Oh, and it can't be anything from the base, you have to actually leave to find this stuff."

"Nimnu ryoukai."

"Heero, you haven't got a partner yet, sit down." Segundo snapped, promptly grabbing him by his spandex and hauling him back to his seat. He shot her a death glare and she held Sugar, her precious large silver magnum under his nose.

"Can we draw now?" Quatre asked impatiently. Jeden held out the cap for him. Once everyone had drawn, they opened their slips of paper.

"Who's got green?" Kelima called.

"I do." Jeden said.

"Purple?" asked Quatre.

"Me!" Duo sang out.

"How about red?" Veir inquired.

"I have that color." Trowa replied.

"Blue?" Heero asked.

"That would be me." San answered in nearly the same tone Heero had asked.

"Oh, no! Don't tell me I'm stuck with her!" Wufei cried.

"Deal with it otoko!"

"Stop calling me that, onna!

"The second you stop calling me onna."

They snarled at each other, while everyone else rolled their eyes in unison.

"Come on Jeden, let's go." Kelima said grabbing his teammate by his jacket sleeve and hauling him out the door.

"GO!" Jeden cried as he was jerked out the door.

"What's next on the list." Duo asked. Quatre glanced down at the paper.

"One vase with flowers in it."

"Oh! I know where to get that. Come on, we better hurry we only have four hours left." Duo exclaimed. They bolted down the hall and took a right.

"Pocket watch."

"Hai."

"Minature Statue of Liberty."

"Hai."

"A copy of Braveheart, Director's cut, DVD version."

".....Mission not complete."

"Then we should go." San replied. Heero nodded and started the engine of the truck. "One truck."

"Hai."

"Okay, if we have the boots, the vanity license plate, the riding crop, and the autographed picture of Duke Dermail, what's next?" Kelima asked. Jeden peered down at the list.

"A urinal." Kelima's eyes widened.

"You're kidding?"

"Nope."

"Who came up with this list?"

"Seyth."

"Should have known, come on we better get started."

"That should be about it for here." Veir stated. Trowa nodded and tossed the objects into a bag.

"How many more items?"

"12."

"Aa."

"I think we can find the scented bath oil over there." Veir pointed. Trowa nodded and off they went.

"This is all your fault onna."

"Shut up otoko or they'll hear us."

"I can't believe that I'm doing this."

"Quit complaining and help me. Pass me that screwdriver."

"Here. If we get caught, it's your fault."

"Look, it's not like they'll notice one missing. At least not right away. Just look around, they have thirty here as it is."

"Why did I agree to this?"

"Because I'm cute and you had no choice."

"Onna."

"Otoko."

Seyth looked at the ten exhausted Gundam pilots.

"Did you have fun?" The mechanic asked, smiling prettily.

"Just count the stuff and find out who won." Growled Kelima. "I'm stiff and tired and I want to go take a long nap."

Treize stepped off the plane to find Lady Une waiting for him.

"I'm glad you're back Treize-sama."

"I'm glad to be back." Treize cast his gaze of the OZ base. Soldiers were scurrying here and there doing this and that. Everything was just how he left it. "That Romafellar meeting was dull."

"Yes, Treize-sama."

"I'm glad to see everything is fine."

"Um, not exactly." Lady Une said as a enlisted soldier approached her and handed her a piece of paper.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, it seems we have several items missing from the base, including five trucks, five officers uniforms, a number of miscellanious items from personal collections, all the copies of Braveheart from the video store, several urinals, God knows how those vanished, five large 'caution, wet floor' signs, all the directional signs are missing, plus someone broke into your personal suite and stole you rose scented bath oil. Oh, and one Aries class mobile suit."

"I see." Treize sighed deeply wondering what sort of monsters would take his bath oil.

"And the winner is the orange team. Wufei and Segundo as they are the only ones who managed to get an Aries. As reward, they get to decide on what we order for dinner tonight." Seyth said smiling.

"What? No cash!" Pouted Wufei and Segundo. "Dammit, we wanted money."
