A musical satirical show, which is written, produced and performed by members of the Press Club which lampoons the newsmakers and news events of the past 12 months.

Cissel to add new flavor to Gridiron

Charles Cissel, executive director of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame, will direct the Tulsa Press Club Gridiron shows on Feb. 16 and 17.

The Tulsa native has been active in music and dance for more than 30 years.

The annual show lampoons top current newsmakers, issues and events on the local, state and national levels. Proceeds from the show provide scholarships for journalism and communications students at state universities. The shows will be held at the Bernsen Community Life Center, 700 S. Boston Ave.

Tickets for Friday night's show, which serves as a warm-up for Saturday night's dinner and show, are $10. They're available at Novel Idea bookstores or at the Tulsa Press Club, 583-7737.
