Welcome to September!

Here we are in the ninth month of the year, and I am still trying to figure out where the other eight months went. The kids are toddling off to school, and some of the leaves are thinking real hard about changing colors (at least in this neck of the woods).

The colors are a feast for the eyes: greens mixed with browns, flaming reds, and bright yellows, all offset against a blue sky with puffy white clouds. It makes me realize, once again, how powerful pictures are. Words don't do justice to what the colors really look like; they will seem even more inadequate as we move into the depths of fall over the next month.
