War Brides Arrive From Down Under
on Crowded David C. Shanks

Australian war brides are shown in the crowded lower deck compartment lots which forty-four of them were jammed on the transport David C. Shanks which docked here yesterday. The compartment is only six paces wide and eighteen paces long. Many of the girls were seasick during the voyage and had to share a single bathroom.
