Amanda's Very Important Pet Grooming
Before and After Pictures II.
Ah, what a difference a day (at the shop) can make!
Billy may not have wanted to be seen beforehand, but he's all smiles afterwards.
Billy is a Samoyed/Border Collie mix.  He lives OUTSIDE, so he was a filthy wreck (as seen on the left - see that BIG matted harball on the floor?).  Using my deep conditioner and my best trade secrets, I made Billy a new dog!
Sweet old Jordan: he was really losing his coat in patches.  It's amazing what a good conditioner, a velocity drier, and a little elbow grease can do.  Can you see the shine in his coat afterwards?
This is a terrible case of neglect (remember, folks, neglect is ABUSE).  Elliot (name has been changed to protect the guilty) has a growth about his eye, but in the first picture, you can't even see it... because the ENTIRE eye is crusted over with gunk.  I had to use a surgical-length blade to get it all off.  You can see the filth just hanging in the second picture (he's not snarling at me, by the way - his jaw's a bit "off".  He was, in fact, VERY patient and trusting).and the growth that's irritating his eye in the third picture.  I was so happy to get that off and put Elliot in the bathtub...
... and here's Elliot all made-over!  Amazingly, there were no sores or hot spots beneath the area (that warm, moist area could have been a vertiable Perti dish).  All that's left of the terrible spot is a stain and the clean growth over his eye.  Doesn't he look happy?  I know I was.  What a little saint!
