I have been in the grooming business for 13 years!  I began my grooming career as a bather at a nearby shop and have been working in the industry ever since.  I completed a year's apprenticeship under Jill Ryan, a skilled master groomer, although I learned from several groomers at two shops.  My schooling didn't end there...

I have worked in several different shops, which is the main reason that I have come to know so many tricks of the trade, and each shop, well-run or otherwise, has added to my knowledge base.  I have worked on approximately 75% of all 155 AKC registered breeds, as well as many other non-registered breeds and countless interesting mixes thereof!  I have learned how to effectively and creatively manage all types of coat, including those affected by thinning, allergies, seborrhea, matting, and other challenging situations.

I know canine CPR and I have saved 2 dogs' lives because of this knowledge.  Although I sincerely hope I am never put in the situation to use the procedure again, it is in my repertoire.

My hand-scissoring techniques, clipper use, and dematting methods have been refined by time, practice, natural artistic ability, and helpful hints from many talented groomers with whom I've worked along the way.  I enjoy using what I've learned to make people "Ooooooh!" and "WOW" and of course, my favorite, "That CAN'T be the same dirty dog I brought in here!"  I would love to make you feel the same way about your dog, too.  Want to see what I mean?  Check out these pages:  Click here!
