At my shop, I offer several additional treatments for dogs' coats for $3-7 extra (depending on size of the dog and density of coat as well as the condition of the skin.  Multiple extra treatments receive a discount):
Deep Conditioning Treatment
Unlike many conditioners, this one won't build up on hair, weigh it down, nor attract dirt.  It adds moisture to the skin and coat, helps relieve dry flakiness of the skin, soothes itchiness, and aids in dematting and mat prevention as well as removes virtually ALL of the undercoat upon application and rinse!  It is superior to traditional hot oil treatments and is biodegradable, non-toxic, and cruelty-free.  This treatment is so light and builds such wonderful body in the coat, I use it on all of my cats and in show preparation of my Weimaraners.
Kelco's Botanical Tar
This shampoo contains the active ingredients found in human dandruff shampoo: Coal tar and salicyclic acid.  It is designed to help rebuild damages coats and skin by removing excessive oils and scaly skin with the added benefit of odor removal.  Coal Tar is especially appropriate for  seborrhea and psoriasis, and although many breeds are susceptable to skin disorders of this type, those usually are Cocker and Springer Spaniels as well as double-coated breeds, especially Shelties, Collies, Huskies, Samoyeds, Malamutes, Keeshond, American Eskimo, and oddly, Golden Retrievers.
De-Greaser Treatment

Did your dog roll in something lone-gone from this world?  Did a skunk decide to leave a lasting impression?  Did your dog decide to try on a role as a mechanic (oil is never a fun one)?  Did he decide to tar and feather himself without the feathers?  This treatment is for the filthy animal in your life - it is a secret blend of my best deodorizers and greaser-cutters!  If you just can't stand the smell of your dog anymore, why not give this unique treatment a try?
Mycodex Sensicare Flea and Tick Shampoo

Mycodex is the flea shampoo that most vets use, as it's very effective in killing adult fleas/ticks and their eggs.  The active ingredient is a synthesized pyrethrin, and because it is man-made, it is safe for most spot-on flea products as well as internal flea prevention medications.  Sensicare is safe for use on puppies and kittens, too.  Let's hope none of us have any reason to use these products (I can't tell you how much I HATE fleas!!!!)
Nilodor Deodorizing Shampoo
When skunks strike, we all wish there were a magic potion that could rid our dog(s) of the potent "perfume" the skunk leaves behind for us, and sadly, time is the only thing that will see all of the odor's removal.  However, we can help the fading process along with deodorizing shampoos.  Nilodor is one of the best there is: it cuts through dirt, grime, oil, and odor like a knife!  Furthermore, it is tearless and conditions the skin and coat.  If your pet is starting to take your breath away in a not-so-pleasant way, you might want to consider a Deodorizing shampoo!
Give me a call today to book your appointment!  Flint, Slate, and I would love to meet you and your pet.
