At the offer of one dollar per vote, Jerry Green offerred his beloved head to be shaved as a fund raiser for the youth for their trip to DC/LA 97. For three weeks the voting was quite competitive. Jerry was starting to tremble at the thought of shavnig his precious locks. Consistently, votes were made for the "No" category, but the "Yes" Team was gaining ground.

A bid was begun on the day of the great BBQ Bash and Buzz. Each team quickly rallied their funds and fierce competition turned even more fierce. Eventually, an extra $700 dollars was pooled in favor of the shaving. The "No"s fell fifty dollars short of the tie. What had been full of laughter turned to whoops and hollers as a razor was plowed down the center of Jerry's head! Even more money was collected as people bought pieces of the shorn locks.

In order to capture the "Yes" $650, Pastor Scott was asked to shave his head, and YES he did! I could scarcely believe my eyes!

All together, over $2500 was raised for the youth of FBC.
