This Scherzo is one of my favourites along with the Op.31 in Bb minor. The Scherzo's are considered to be major works of Chopin. They are preformed in public to some extent, but not as much, for example as the Balades.
The Bar 305 sequence, as is well known, the main theme of this trio is a paraphrase of the popular Polish Christmas carol "Lulajze Jezuniu" (Sleep, little Jesus). In view of this, the melody should be marked in the right-hand figuration by emphasizing the 1st, 3rd, and 5th quavers of the figures in bar 305 sequence.
