Music is the universal language. It can be anything at any time. It can soothe an angry soul
or awaken feelings that one did not know exist. It is versatile, it is all encompassing, it
is powerful. Below is a conglomeration of music that have special meaning to me. Some of them
are beautiful in what they try to say, others in what they say and how they say it, i.e. in the
the music itself. All I can say is, "close your eyes and let music set you free..."
Songs
On My Own from Les Miserables as sung by Katie Holmes in Dawson's Creek
Eponine is the epitomie of love.
All I Ask of You from The Phantom of the Opera
Promises to be broken, but romantic while they lasted.
Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas
The words were finally spoken-acceptances of difference, not imposition of superiority.
Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough by Patty Smith
What is the answer to the question, "Is it better to be with someone for the wrong reasons
or alone for the right?"
I Know Him So Well from Chess
The perfect example of true love and understanding.
